Just caught up. I am hopeful for Gruden, but I will believe it when I see it. As for Patterson, I'm on board, but y'all do realize he is a 4-2-5 guy through and through.
Hard Knocks: Playing Defense With TCUs Gary Patterson <<
I know some here would hate that.
-Sitting power 5 HC with a winning record
-SEC and National championships as an OC
-9 years of HC experience in the SEC
-Coached 3 of the 5 SEC QB's to have 30 TD's passing and 30 TD's rushing in the last 20 years
-2 very impressive DC's in his coaching tree
-His program has enjoyed the best 9 years of football since the 1940's
Based purely on resume, this would be a better hire than the latest made by Florida, USC, LSU, and UGA. Nothing meh about it.
I told you all I have BVS. Saying Gruden is currently at UT out loud just doesnt sound right.
Im just venting more than anything, not trying to piss anyone off but at some point and I think Im there, Gruden isnt coming IMO
Dennis Dodd, Paul Finebaum, Bruce Feldman, Chris Landry, Ben Albright, Jimmy Hyams and Football Scoop all came out today and said Gruden isnt interested.
By the way, all of those same people except Hyams have confirmed today that Chip Kelly and UF are very close on a deal.
Again, Im not trying to be a downer but my common sense tells me its not happening.
it needs to be 1st hand too. so sarge, get your ass to Knox and play pretend law and order. go.
I was a believer in 2012.......obviously didn't work out.
Then, just for ****s and giggles, I texted a few of my friends who have connections to Gruden and I won't say exactly what they said, but they definitely didn't make me feel stupid for asking. Apparently, negotiations are ongoing. Which is incredibly surprising to me.
Won't say how I know people who know Gruden but I'm definitely thinking there's a 10% chance he ends up our coach.
