Lol i guess it’s hard to get everything out over text. Both of our lines are bad outside of Trey Smith, that’s what scares me the most. Most of our players upfront don’t even look like SEC caliber OL/DL. That is not something can be fixed in 8-10 months. That’s a total overhaul that will take a few years.

i think we lose Kelly, Jennings, and Gaulden To the draft. Added to the fact that we will be in our first year of a new system. Is it possible we catch lightening in a bottle and win 10 games? Maybe yea because ive said the last month that UGA is overrated and The rest of the east is very winnable. But we have a tough schedule next year.

I’m not going into next year with overly high expectations because I’ve seen first hand what went on the last two years especially. Lazy in the weight room, very lethargic practices, lack of scrimmages..etc. changing this culture is what needs to be done first and foremost.

Shows why practices were closed and no live bullets for inexperienced qb's and I agree with what you say about the lines but if we get them on it right now then it can improve enough to win eight games because we almost beat a few teams this year despite how bad it's been. The head of this team played favorites and did not make them work in the weight room ect. A good coach will change them or we will see them hit the door. The ones who stay will be competitive because they are working to get better. Anyone who doesn't want to work, gets released and processed out. Do that and others will take notice. May take some time.

You don’t think sitting P5 coaches who are successful may want to move to place with ridiculous expectations who never fully supported a well respected coach? Ok. Like i said Petrino is your ceiling.

We have one big time SEC OL/DL (Trey Smith)
Thin but talented at RB
Bad at CB (assuming we lose Gaulden)
Good at Safety
Solid at LB with DK and DB
Mediocre at WR
And who knows at QB.

I would throw Tuttle in as potential big time. Maybe his injuries have diminished his abilities, but he has had some elite play before this year on the DL.

Yes scheme should cater to your players strengths. Dobbs in the spread and running zone reads is pretty optimal for his skill set.

Do you think any of Our QBs on this current roster have the same skill set?

And this goes for Lineman , RBs and WRs as well. If you have a bunch of guys who are better suited for high pointing passes down the field than why run everything inside of 15 yards. If we don’t have tackles who can maul DEs why are we running powers and edge rushes? ...

The common denominator in our being a bad football across the board and getting little to no production at nearly every position group is Butch Jones

He’s an awful coach and an awful man.

This Same guy who ordered a “code red” on a young man who had the balls to stand up for a woman who he believed was assaulted. ( 🤷🏾*♂️ Somehow he made it past that) so I definitely believe he’s sabotaging recruiting.

Accountability was one of his favorite catch words.

Josh Dobbs and Mike Debord. Dobbs was the most underappreciated Vol I can recall. If he was a Vol this year Butch would still have a job.

Josh and Casey Clausen are two of the most underappreciated players and not just QB that we have ever had. I have never understood while these guys are not revered for all that they have done for our teams.
