Would you rather get anyone not names Gruden for say 5-6mil and have money for staff. Or give 8-10mil for Gruden. It doesn’t make sense.

The more I think about it the less I get excited about a potential hiring of Gruden. Frost is my number one guy realistically. Mullen would probably be number two.

My personal want list in order:

Frost
Fuente
Patterson
Taggart
Gruden
Mullen

I'd take any and be happy. And Kelly of course. I like Frost the most too. Gruden never having coached in college is worrisome to me, but being a celebrity would probably make up for lack of recruiting connections. Not sure we'll he'd manage kids and school and all the ancillary stuff to coaching though.

"There's a lot of hate in this world and a lot of anger," McElwain told reporters. "And yet it's freedom to show it. The hard part is obviously when the threats [are] against your own players, the death threats to your families, the ill will that's brought upon out there."

Nothing about the statement above is a direct claim that McElwain, his family, or individual Florida players received death threats. It reads as if he's saying that death threats are a realistic possibility as a head coach in big boy football. If he agrees to take anything less than 10 million, he's a damn fool.

For instance, if I say "Football is a tough game. It's especially tough when you are exposed to repeated head trauma and concussions", I'm not saying I got a concussion, but simply that it's a part of the game.

Potential coaching applicants at FL should think twice before doing business with such a shiesty administration. Looks real bad from a PR standpoint. Also, he definitely hasn't been fired for cause if the terms of their mutual departure are being negotiated. The longer they negotiate, the less it looks like a "for cause" firing and just like FL is trying to breach their contractual obligations.

Bingo.

I like how Frost decided to hang 73 on the Austin Peay Governors. Butch would have been content with a 24-3 win with a total of about 3 plays ran on offense.
