Haha I thought he had been joking too. I was about to tell everyone how stupid they were for responding like he was serious.

I recall his name being part of something else really dumb. It may have been the dude freaking about Recruiting RBs then we got one in the next wk

Have you been watching practices in person? How does Kahlil stack up to Danny O and Owen W right now? Conditioning aside, would there be any major drop off between those two and him if we played a game tomorrow?

He stacks up very well as does Tuttle. Kahlil is so advanced with technique and everything compared to most freshmen which I'm sure Reggie had a big hand in. Kahlil may not be the weight room warrior that Owen is just yet but on the field, he's the strongest DT we have. When he gets his hands inside your shoulders, you're done. The power he generates with those tree trunks is truly ungodly. Tuttle is very strong as well but he's also very quick. I can not imagine how good they will be after two years of S&C program. I'm thinking a better version of Shariff Floyd and Dom Easley.

JMO but i believe McKenzie will be starting against BG along with Danny O. Tuttle will get plenty of snaps in the rotation along with Williams and Vickers (who has looked really good too).

Basically, our DT rotation ain't nothing to **** with. GBO

Hell yes. The KMack/Tuttle/Phillips trio will end up better than UF's legendary haul of Powell/Floyd/Easley, IMO.

It is going to be amazing to have depth at positions again. Not just for the, "Next man up" mentality, but to see how dominate players can be when they do not have to play the entire game without breaks or few breaks, because the drop off behind them is so weak.

I think players like Danny O'Brien and Corey Vereen are really gonna shine when they can play a whole game while getting consistence breaks throughout.

I think so too. Maybe I'm just being a homer but from what we've seen/read/heard, I think all three will pan out.

Remember when Vereen was the star of the preseason? Huge talk of him being the stat-grabbing pass rusher before injuries hit and now he's almost been recruited over. That's what SEC depth looks like, ladies and gentlemen.

I also remember when Wiesman was the most promising new OL in 2013. That class is getting recruited over incredibly quickly.

Was freaking out about a couple of people liking Dormady better than Dobbs the other day. I believe his words were Tennessee has NEVER liked black QB's. :eek:lol:

Just read some reports about Joe Mixon being very impressive in practice. That scum bag shouldn't even be on the team.

Holy crap that description about Kirkland earlier was huge. Jancek was basically gushing over his instincts and his ability to make creative and sound plays. It suggests that he's just a naturally good football player that hasn't missed a beat in his mentality since high school. By the looks of him, he doesn't appear to be lacking in the physical side of things either. I always thought since the day he committed that he just had this look in his eye. He just looks like what I want our football players to look like. Big and kind of intimidating. He's got that middle linebacker scowl. If he ends up being not only serviceable, but also aggressive and consistent... Really good.... What if he just fits right in and plays great? Our defense was already going to be tough. But if you add that kind of impact at MLB alongside JRM and Maggit.... and this dline. Alongside these corners. Alongside these safety's. We've got at least one grizzled veteran leader who is a stud at every level of the defense. We've also got a young crop of talent cocked and ready to fire out of a cannon. Too many names to even list. This is a strong mix. We haven't had anything like this in a long time.

I'm really encouraged. I'm really starting to believe in the potential of this defense. Offensive coordinators are going to get headaches looking for places to exploit weaknesses. Sorry mate. There aren't a lot. You had better guess correctly and creatively.

Not to mention we also have an experienced and poised leader running the show at quarterback. He is one of those players you really just don't want to have to deal with if you're another SEC team. He can throw. He can take off at any moment. He's big, fast and always looking upfield. A decisive gamer who has developed a reputation for coming up biggest when the game is on the line. He also has a sick wealth of weapons surrounding him. I am proud to call Josh Dobbs our fierce leader and face of the program. He will serve that role well and give every single ounce of himself to help this team win. Not a lot of teams are so lucky in that regard. We should have a big time advantage in every game we play. Our receivers will stretch you to your limits and our running backs will punish you and make you pay dearly for every mistake.

Our offensive line may be a weakness. But even so, there will be plenty of spots on the field in most games where we will have decided advantages to make up for that. If they play with fire and give their all, they will rise up to the level of the talent around them. This team has a chance to be exceptional. I think it's more likely that the line plays up to everybody else's level (overachieves) than that the rest of the team plays down to theirs.

Even if it doesn't go perfectly, I think we are in for some magical moments along the way. This really should be our best season in a long time. I am so excited I can't hardly believe it. It's great to be a Tennessee Vol.

What's the deal with Preston, he worked out in the facilities today but I thought his ACT score was supposed to be instant? That's what reporters said, anyway. Did they do a preliminary grade by just checking his answers and now are working on the official one that could take a bit longer?

I don't get it.
