North makes the biggest difference in the redzone and in the vertical passing game. We don't have another receiver on the team (maybe Jauan or Preston in the future) who can go up and get a ball and win almost every 1 on 1 coverage like Marquez can. Especially in the red zone. If North is single covered in the red zone, a decently thrown fade route is almost a guaranteed 6 points.

From RTI this morning:
Heres what weve been told via a source: North did, indeed sustain an injury early during practice on Wednesday, but the extent of it is unknown at this point. North spent the rest of Wednesdays session on the training table observing practice, but was not in any noticeable pain. We can confirm that much, but anything else at this point is speculation.
What does everyone think is the reason for cancelling practice? Just give everyone a rest?
Some thoughts regarding the North situation:
A few of you are still jumping the gun. Let's wait for the MRI results before we start looking for tall things to jump off of. Could be a sprain or mild hyperextension (or even nothing significant) just as easily as an ACL tear.
In the event he is seriously injured, it's not the end of the world for him. Keep in mind that he still has his redshirt year - he can RS and stay with us for the '16 and '17 seasons. He'll have the opportunity to prove that he can stay healthy, just like Maggitt - two full seasons is a lot of time to erase some bad vibes.
In the event he is seriously injured, it's not the end of the world for us. We would still have a very good WR core. It would put a lot of pressure on Pearson, Howard and particularly Malone to step up and show that they can anchor an above average SEC unit. All three have given reasons for optimism thus far this month. But behind them we have plenty of good talent - Croom, Smith, Johnathan Johnson are all solid. Also, by all accounts we won't be able to keep Preston Williams off of the field as he gets closer to 100%, and Jennings may be able to help early as well.
