A few random thoughts: Deepest team we are likely to face this year. First game that got away. Doesn't feel like a one can isolate the plays that would have changed the game. Hope the team can regroup. Didn't hear Scott's number called much. Didn't like the double reverse much.

I'm not trying to be that guy but even you can't be happy with that performance tonight, right?

Not happy but I really didn't expect to win the game. People on here wouldn't be happy if we lost by 3. Hell, the 3 point loss to UGA looks better every week, and people *****ed about that. It sucks, but it will get better. We won't continue to lose. I promise that.

My thoughts aren't any different after the game than they were before it.

We need a more mobile QB and a better OL. That will happen through experience and, in some cases IMO, recruiting. I admit that I'm worried about Mahoney - some of these kids had good offers, so surely they shouldn't all be performing this poorly. But that matter is up to Butch. If he isn't up to the job then it will be up to Butch to find somebody who is in the offseason.

Until then, I'm still patient. This all is hard to take but I still believe in this team.

If anyone wants an example of why some are frustrated with the offensive play calling, the double reverse was a prime example. We are making positive gains on a sustained drive and in scoring position. Then we call that play which takes a long time to develop well behind the line of scrimmage with a high probability of a loss of yardage when we were already in field goal range. Not only did it stall the drive, but it kept us off the score board. Inexplicable.

Margin of victory is not a factor

You honestly don't think the committee will look at common opponents and who had more impressive wins against them? Ole Miss is fighting with a lot of other SEC teams for a spot. I don't have to like it, but I don't blame him.

I would like for a former lineman to offer thoughts. I don't know the answer to the coaching. As far as I know, we are limited in talent and playing inexperienced players.

Swain had a very interesting interview with Trey Teague this week. Worth listening to; it's on podcast.

This offense will be better with a mobile QB.

That being said, why not change to your current players abilities? ??

Then don't put in your backups. I understand that position, but putting your backup in changes that completely. It just does.
