I agree. My last two games were Vandy last season and Florida this past week. Both environments were great. The fans brought it and executed pretty well this past Saturday.

We were supposed to get thrashed be GA, and we lost by 3. We stared down 1 to Florida and finished up 3 on the lines, and we lost by 1. Thats close enough to not be a surprise. And we played well against Oklahoma and did what we should have against Utah State and Arky State.

The belief, even before the year, was that we would win close to 6 this year and 7-8 next year, with a 9-10 win season following after that.

Don't freak out until we start really underperforming. For the season as a whole we have outplayed Vegas predictions. That's not when you get antsy.

In my honest opinion, we've played better than I expected we would at this point. We are about 4 plays away from being 4-1 right now. I thought we would have two blowout losses to OU and UGA, and a 10+ pt loss to UF before the season started.

The season is young guys, stay positive.

Not calling for Butch's job, but being satisfied with our season so far because preseason media said we are a 5/6 win team is silly. You should atleast be looking at how our coaches are doing in each game. If you haven't been left disappointed by our coaching/schemes/game management atleast some, I guess we just need to agree to disagree. Doesn't mean I won't cheer as loud for the vols or hope they lose

So, TMZ has learned that the guy that turned Gurley in is a Florida fan from Rome, Ga that sells sports memorabilia for a living. They obtained emails from the guy where he was trying to get media outlets to leak the story. He flat out said he didn't want money but he does want everyone to know that Gurley took money. He said he even has pics and videos of Gurley signing jerseys and helmets for him.

That's a true fan right there lol. He better hope that his name never gets leaked or he will have to gtfo out of Georgia in a hurry.

I can't believe Gurley would be this stupid and allow the guy to take pics while he's signing the stuff.

I know someone on the UGA team who got a new car from the program the day he signed, two years ago. True story.

5-6 wins is flat out unacceptable next year. There is no excuse for it.

Here's how I think the next 3 years shake out:

We finish this season 6-6, win our bowl game, and ink another top 5 class.

We start 2015 preseason ranked #20-#25 based on the bowl win and recent recruiting.

We beat UAB, lose to OU (barely), and drop out of the top 25 for the rest of the season due to no sustained winning streaks.

Finish the season 7-5 and win our bowl game to improve to 8-5.

Butch inks another top 10 class and we enter the 2016 season ranked #15-#20. We beat Appy State and take VT to the woodshed at Bristol, moving our ranking up to just outside the top 10. We stay ranked the entire season but never break the top 10.

9-3 regular season, second in the East, and a bowl win gets us to 10 for the first time since 2007.

Yet another top 10 class incoming, and the vast majority of the 2014 class returns as seniors, including Hurd, Kelly, Barnett, and Malone.

We start 2017 preseason ranked #10, quickly rise in the polls as we rattle off wins against UGA and UF, beat Bama for the first time in over 10 years, win the East, win the SEC, and make the playoffs.

Boom. The black cloud over Knoxville is officially gone and Butch has us rolling for the next decade.

I think it's pathetic that this guy didn't have a problem with Gurley signing these items to make money off of him, but then turned him in because it's illegal. Dude sounds like a scummy person.

I really can't blame the athletes for signing stuff and getting paid. To me, that just doesn't seem like a big deal. It's not like he got a house or a free Ferrari.

I can blame a sketchy merchandise dealer ratting on a kid he was making money off of.

Can somebody explain how the ref in Ga game didn't penalize the returner for signaling a fair catch then taking off? How are these refs getting away with blatant incompetence and/or cheating? This is a pattern with no recourse.

That's some good stuff you're smoking. Would be awesome to see but it's been forever since we've been relevant. My teenage kids can't remember the Vols ever being good.
