He just needed one more year. They had the basics down, and they were already moving to the advanced stuff like foaming and the ever-tricky conditioner timing. He was so close.
OU is Oregon 2.0.
Setting up for a disappointment again.
I consider myself pretty unbiased in predicting games, but this is ridiculous. Vols win... period.
There is a poll on the site.. a Mountain West site, mind you, and 65% think the vols win... 43% by 10+.
I'm with the 43%
The defense will depend heavily on him (Brian Randolph) to lock down the top Aggie receivers.
He (AJ Johnson) will anchor the front seven against an aggressive Aggie run game.
If he (Marlin Lane) can step up his game as a starter and become a strong presence in the backfield, Tennessee may have a chance to keep USUs nasty front seven off of Worley long enough to make a few plays that could impact the end result of the game.
Oklahoma game is tough for me to know what will happen because you don't know which Oklahoma team your getting and what TN is going to be with all these new players.
If we get the OK team that beat bama we are in trouble but we get the Oklahoma team every other week we may have a shot at upset

Very good point.
Do I think Oklahoma easily covers against UT? Well, yeah. Probably.
But they way some writers have them pegged as a super consistent juggernaut is way off. Its a classic example of people allowing a bowl win to cloud their off season judgement. They'll find a game in their first 3 or 4 to d*ck around in like they usually do, and I can only hope its against UT.
I would imagine
On paper Oklahoma should win. But Tennessee is primed to steal a game like this. Butch has me feeling confident. I think our defense gives up a lot of yards but gets some key 3rd down stops to hold them to field goals. IF we can keep it close and put some points on the board, i think Oklahoma will make mistakes and give us an opportunity to beat them. I'm predicting that we keep it close and give them a really good scare.
And then I think we beat them.

The turnaround begins.
5. James Allen, RB, Louisville - He was at or near the top of Tennessees running backs board. Allen raced for over 300 yards in his teams spring game last month. A trip to Louisville last week blew him away and the Cardinals upset the Volunteers in landing the three-star back, one of the best at his position in Florida. Allen called the Cardinals staff minutes after exiting an unofficial visit to Tennessee last Thursday afternoon to commit.
From a free 247 article on the 15 biggest steals in '15...WTF? Never even heard of this kid, and him immediately leaving a UT visit and committing to UL hardly sounds like we had him "at or near the top of the RB board".
Also features Preston Williams at No. 1.
