Predict OU to win. But if this game is close at halftime and Butch/staff make good adjustments it could get real interesting!

Just an FYI for those of us in Chattanooga.

"EPB Fiber Optics is in active negotiations with ESPN/Disney/ABC Family to continue carriage of a host of networks. Our current agreement expires July 31, 2014. Our negotiation includes carriage of ESPN's new service, the SEC Network, and we fully anticipate making this service available to you, our valued customers, when it launches on August 14, 2014."

Oklahoma game is tough for me to know what will happen because you don't know which Oklahoma team your getting and what TN is going to be with all these new players.

If we get the OK team that beat bama we are in trouble but we get the Oklahoma team every other week we may have a shot at upset

He just needed one more year. They had the basics down, and they were already moving to the advanced stuff like foaming and the ever-tricky conditioner timing. He was so close.

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer gets shower tips for Jerry and watches guys at the gym to figure out how to cut down his shower time.

I would imagine Oklahoma is going to be locked into this one, seeing as it will be another opportunity to beat another team from the mighty SEC. Stoops will have his troops ready. But I think we'll be ready too, and a lot faster than Oklahoma will be expecting.

On paper Oklahoma should win. But Tennessee is primed to steal a game like this. Butch has me feeling confident. I think our defense gives up a lot of yards but gets some key 3rd down stops to hold them to field goals. IF we can keep it close and put some points on the board, i think Oklahoma will make mistakes and give us an opportunity to beat them. I'm predicting that we keep it close and give them a really good scare.

And then I think we beat them.

34-33

The turnaround begins.

OU is Oregon 2.0.

Setting up for a disappointment again.

Hah well that's what I do man (errrr lady). And if we lose, I'll do the same thing next year.

I'm not really setting myself up for anything though. If we lose I'm going to be extremely disappointed no matter what my prediction was. Or even if I didn't make a prediction.

I just have more fun thinking of ways we can pull games like this off. We haven't lost yet, and I'm a Vols fan. So I'm really only worried about finding a sequence of events that is possible for us to win the game. We are trying to win after all. This is just one way I think it could go.

It's unlikely that we win. Sure. But it's not impossible.

We probably won't be ready for this game. But we might. And it's pretty fun for me to imagine a world in which that's the case.

I consider myself pretty unbiased in predicting games, but this is ridiculous. Vols win... period.

There is a poll on the site.. a Mountain West site, mind you, and 65% think the vols win... 43% by 10+.

I'm with the 43%

Here are a few quotes from that article:

The defense will depend heavily on him (Brian Randolph) to lock down the top Aggie receivers.

He (AJ Johnson) will anchor the front seven against an aggressive Aggie run game.

If he (Marlin Lane) can step up his game as a starter and become a strong presence in the backfield, Tennessee may have a chance to keep USU’s nasty front seven off of Worley long enough to make a few plays that could impact the end result of the game.

Laughed while reading this article. I realize their success the past couple years or so, but really? Nasty front seven? Aggressive Aggie run game? Clearly this is a "You keep using those words, I don't think they mean what you think they mean" moments.

Very good point.

Do I think Oklahoma easily covers against UT? Well, yeah. Probably.

But they way some writers have them pegged as a super consistent juggernaut is way off. Its a classic example of people allowing a bowl win to cloud their off season judgement. They'll find a game in their first 3 or 4 to d*ck around in like they usually do, and I can only hope its against UT.

Ya, most have them in the NC game. Not an impossible game, but I think we're more likely to beat Bama.

Really? I can't picture Ok in the NC. Stoops would poop in the playoffs. The only reason they beat bammer is because bammer didnt care.

I wouldn't go that far. Last year's Oregon team was custom built to exploit all of our weaknesses. Personally, I had no illusions that we would win that one, and I got into most games thinking we've got a good shot. Oklahoma is a much better matchup for us.

I've heard three national guys on the radio predict them there. They lost hardly anyone from last year.

I know this isn’t the popular view but have to say it. After the Vandy game last year, I can’t at this moment agree with this part

From a free 247 article on the 15 biggest steals in '15...WTF? Never even heard of this kid, and him immediately leaving a UT visit and committing to UL hardly sounds like we had him "at or near the top of the RB board".

5. James Allen, RB, Louisville - He was at or near the top of Tennessee’s running backs board. Allen raced for over 300 yards in his team’s spring game last month. A trip to Louisville last week blew him away and the Cardinals upset the Volunteers in landing the three-star back, one of the best at his position in Florida. Allen called the Cardinals staff minutes after exiting an unofficial visit to Tennessee last Thursday afternoon to commit.

Also features Preston Williams at No. 1.

3* one of the best at his position in Florida?

He's not even a top 50 RB.

Sounds like the coaches said thanks but no thanks on his visit.
