Man... Right about the time that I hoped we would be back in the mix for the SEC championship, we've got to play

Bama... + A&M, or LSU, or Auburn

No mercy at all

Playing such a tough schedule could get us in the playoffs even with 2 losses.

Seems weird to even mention playoffs and college football in the same sentence.

I like that '15 matchup vs Arky though. I think Bielema does more talking than he does coaching and I don't think Arky will be very good by then. His main claim to coaching fame is going to three straight Rose Bowls...and losing them all.

In that same report of over-under 4.5 from Vegas for us they had arky at 5.5 this year. Sooooo......I stopped by hogville to get the scoop.

Tennessee at 4.5 is very tempting. They could realistically win 7 and not beat anybody they shouldn't. That's almost too tempting to not put some money on.

Utah state
Arkansas state
Chattanooga
vandy
Kentucky
Missouri
ole miss
florida

I agree. Take the over before it moves to 5.5.

at 4.5 I think those games I mentioned are winnable.

they could only win 5 and have to be beat

Utah state
Arkansas state
Chattanooga
Kentucky
vandy

They should win every one of those games easily and possibly pick up one to two more and not shock anybody.

Meanwhile on that 5.5 for Arky:

Bet the farm on that under. No way we win 6 games without a QB. I mean, no brainer.

I already did

Beat a couple hundred against us. That way if we suck I still win cash. I would love to lose the bet. I will pay 200 bucks for us not to suck

The 4.5 total for us, and the 5.5 total for Arky, came from a projection by one guy - essentially it was one man's opinion. It never actually existed for action. Believe me I'd have rushed to get in on over 4.5 in a heartbeat.

Here are the real numbers: New college football win totals posted at 5Dimes | Kegs 'n Eggs Blog

As you can see, we are 5.5 -160 on the over, meaning bet $1.6 to win $1, so Vegas estimates our chances of bowling at 60%, very reasonable and accurately priced IMO

Now this makes sense. Thanks for posting.

Fwiw, Tyree St. Louis, Patrick Allen, Isaiah Prince and Christian Pellage*top the OT board per Danny Parker. Says Pellage is a long shot, but we have recently gained a lot of ground with the other 3. I believe he left out Richmond on accident fwiw, because he listed targets we would pursue if we missed on any of them and Richmond wasn't on that list
Thanks, I was wondering about this.
What did they say the QB board looked like? Siap

VQ made a QB Big Board yesterday...

1. Torrance
2. Francois
3. Sheriron Jones
4. Waller
5. Darnold

Others to watch: Dungey, Lewerke, Dormady.

Interesting how Florida always gets the benefit of the doubt. McMurphy has them going to the Capital One Bowl after a 4-8 season and absolutely no established offensive identity.

I did enjoy seeing that neither picked Vandy to make a bowl. I think the UT-Vandy game may come down to a "winner goes to a bowl game" situation.

If that's the case, we're going to a bowl game.

Some SOB painted Anchor Down on the Rock. It looks like it's about to be professionally painted over for summer orientation, though.

"9. Will Muschamp’s last chance in Gainesville (From friend of the blog and EDSBS writer Ryan Nanni). There’s a park I walk by on weekends with a baseball diamond in it. Sometimes, I’ll slow down to watch a bit of a game, and I often see one or two kids who can’t do anything right. Batting, fielding, throwing — it’s all awkward and frustrating, even if they’re giving 110 percent. I hope their parents tell those kids it’s OK. They can be good at so many other things. Art. Science. Foreign language. They can leave Little League behind and still be successful. That’s how I feel about Muschamp. – Ryan Nanni (or the artist formerly known as Celebrity Hot Tub)"

Funny!
