I originally thought it was going to be under 20 due to the '14 class being so large but VQ mods have hinted it will be close to a max class of 25. So, I'd have to guess 25 right now.

Had to jump off line for a while, thanks for the thoughts on this, I have had high hopes that we could sign at least 25..... The way this staff is working looks like they do as well .:eek:hmy: ..jmo

Da Rick may have gotten waived and end up back on the practice squad. He would have to go through waivers. May have injury and need at another position.

Great to hear Coleman's lack of strong play is being recognized. While I dont know if Williams will be better, I think it speaks volumes that this staff will not play you if you dont produce on Saturdays.

Moving Coleman to the Nickel is a good move IMO. Not for lack of strong play, but because he is better suited for it. JMO though.

I was following this because it had potential to have some minor impact on my fantasy league. I believe you are correct.

Colts have had injuries at WR and Heyward-Bey played well last week. think he's still on the practice squad.

Not gonna lie, that report of CPF speaking to the team, getting a standing O and tearing up kinda got me. He loves this University and he had a huge hand in building the modern program to the level where we expect championships. Very thankful bUTch has enough humility and self-confidence to bring him in.

I guarantee the players got chills, too. He is a powerful speaker when it comes from the heart. Go Vols.

Fulmer was a heck of a speaker. Apparently he talked a lot about the 1-3 1994 team and how they battled back.

I applaud Jones for getting Fulmer and Majors back involved with the program.

I don't see how we could possibly take 25 in 2015 unless there is massive attrition. I scrolled through the last 4 classes and this is what I see:

2014 - 30
2013 - 22
2012 - 22
Total - 74

I think we lost about 10 from those two classes, but we should have about that many redshirt Jrs, Srs, and walk on players on our roster. That means we'd have to lose somewhere between 8-14 guys.

It's always crazy how the numbers work out, but I just can't imagine taking more than 20.

I've Said thus before on this board: I'm a PT and when to a class on functional assessment. The guy leading the class was a UT grad and huge fan, and he had done his assessment on the entire football team. Said Palardy's had a hip issue that was affecting his groin. This guy says he caught it and told the training staff how to fix it, and swore Palardy would have a better year.

Also said Justin Hunter had terrible ankle dorsiflexion, and that's why he tore his ACL

Interesting. Thanks

8-14 could definitely happen. A lot of scholarship players in their 2nd and 3rd years here contribute very little or have been/will be recruited over by this last class and the upcoming one.

I don't like getting into discussions about who will/should transfer, but scrolling through the names, I don't see that many guys I'd want to leave from those classes. Maybe 8, but I can't see making it to the top end.

Also, I think it's better for our roster to have those older guys. I don't want to be relying on sophomores and freshman for the next fours years.

"Defensively, the Vols deployed a slightly different look in the secondary. Cam Sutton and Michael F. Williams opened early at the cornerback spots while Justin Coleman was the Vols' starting nickel. The safeties remained Brian Randolph and LaDarrell McNeil."

Ok, who is Michael F Williams? I can't find a thread on him and neither 247/Rivals has him listed in our last 5 signing classes.

Sorry if I missed it.
