That explains his coaching record. Here all this time I thought he was a football coach by trade.
 
We have this discussion every year. The noon games generally get better ratings than night games. There may be a few exceptions, but when you look at ratings over a season, many of the top games were either 3:30 or noon games. I understand fans at the game prefer night, but casual fans do things on Saturday nights and don’t watch as much.
Plus, gone are the days (unfortunately) of Ron Franklin and Mike Gottfried on ESPN at 7:00 p.m. always being the big game of the weekend.

These networks want a headliner in each of the three windows (12, 3 and 7 Eastern) to keep TV audiences engaged throughout the day and that matters more than the fan in the stands…for better or worse.
