One last random from last night's game---- watching Mehlin interviewed... the guy is just animated and weird... don't like... I would actually be embarrassed as a UT fan if this dude was our coach and talked like that... dodged bullet. I am totally fine with Cornbread.

I stopped reading after the game last night. Do you guys think Florida was exposed in that game, or just "first game of the year, yada yada...?" I'll give them this... their pass rush looked pretty sick at the end of the game. That could really give us some problems. "Monte Carlo Mullen" barely pulled that one out against a bunch of true/RS freshmen...

First game jitters, but the DL looked good due to the Miami OL in my opinion

..... sounds like you're excusing his behavior. I'm sure these aren't all of your thoughts, but it should be stated that Bryce has his own lessons to learn, more than just "that girl is a problem"

247 got hold of the arrest report and someone posted 247's comments in the FF Bryce Thompson thread.

From police report:
Bryce Thompson admitted to doing the gate damage.
He denied the threats that have been reported.
The girl said she does not remember the details.
Reported threats came from witnesses who overheard the yelling. They did NOT see BT saying them. One witness reported the "Soot up the School" threat. A 2nd witness did NOT hear the "Shoot up the school" threat.

I would think since BT nor the Girl are reporting the "Shoot up the School" threat .. and only one witness is saying this and a 2nd witness did NOT hear this .. and neither witness actually visually saw the altercation .. then that part of the story will be dismissed in his court appearance,

Grantham was bring pressure on a ton of plays in the fourth, as usual. Decent QB makes him pay for that. Bad oline plus inexperienced QB made Gator front 7 look better than it is.

Yeah, I'd still expect us to struggle some against UF's DL.. They got a lot of pressure just with a standard 3- or 4-man rush. We didn't see them blitzing LB's.

Miami's OL is young and unready. Enos didn't dial up any roll-outs and still wanted Williams to throw out of a 5-step dropback. Playcalling didn't do Williams any favors.

I think our OL will be better than what Miami did, but we'll have to figure out how to deal with more exotic blitzes. I have confidence that Chaney can adjust playcalling to compensate.

I thought Williams showed a lot of promise. He held onto it a little too long on half of those sacks, but that could be due to good coverage, or the QB being hesitant to bail out of the pocket. Enos didn't help him, though.

The delay of game and false start penalties were killers, and that's just going to happen with so many freshmen.

his academics sucked and will be real surprised if his past #metoo issues don't service before the weeks out. Got some very vendictive opponents out there that would love to keep this going all week, questioning UT's athletic admission standards !

One witness heard the two threats and the gate crashing noise and said he saw Thompson. Another witness heard the slapping threat and the crash, and another heard yelling and the school threat -- neither saw Thompson but ID'd him.

Someone explain the statement in bold above to me and how it holds up in court.

Obviously, something happened, but from all accounts, there was no physical altercation. Punish the kid for acting like a child. You don't speak to women like that, and you can't damage other's property. I don't think he should be removed from the team, but I also don't think he should escape appropriate punishment.

Also, does anyone else feel like this entire society has turned into a "guilty until proven innocent"policy? The world has changed in a very short period of time.
