I don't know anything about it but I've never heard of a staff member telling media they're worried, especially early on. Seems odd or more like an "interpretation" by VQ.

If that's the case, maybe they should just accept a commit instead of slow playing guys waiting on bigger fish. Happens every year.

I'm sure the coaches wish some guys would go ahead and announce, instead of dragging it out another few months. Bailey has been peer-recruiting all alone and it would be a big help to have numbers. Having a few more foundation guys onboard would help with guys like Ratledge, who're being pulled another way. But having more small fish in the boat isn't going to help. We're going to have to wait on guys higher up the board.

Someone could double check me, because I might have missed a few...but when I looked back to see how many of our 2019 class were on board as of May 6th, 2018, the only ones I saw were Morris, Lampley and Lowe. I'm guessing we had others committed that didn't end up in the class. Plus we had Keyton commit on May 11th.

I guess this correlates if your goal is to have a class of the same quality as the 2019 class.

If a top 10 class puts us in position for a top 10 season, I would think it is a reasonable goal at this point.

I’d guess neither. Just a “I’m going to be your OC.” introduction type. My idea of Chavis when he was our DC.
