I’ve always said I’ll take college production over combine results every day. Get both, allow it.

I remember disagreeing with a poster last draft who said that Brown’s Combine would cost him money that he’d never recover. My counter was that it’s all about the second contract and that he was the same player with the same reach and ballast that dominated in college, but would build on that in the pros. The counter to that counter was that his poor workout indicated lack of intensity and want to and he’d be gone in 3 seasons. That could still happen but the Combine has become it’s own entity instead of its original intent as a tie breaker for close prospects. You can play or you can’t. These guys will never be timed in a 40 again or the number of times they bench 225 counted. World’s their oyster or where they can disappear into the ether.
