IMO the hardest thing a WoT will have to do is get across both the difference, and symbiosis in Saidar and Saiydin. It is an abstract concept, the books are in their head so you can imagine and visualize it better.

Unfortunately they will probably have to rely on hand gestures. Would be nice to show weaves from a specific character POV.

No. he hasn't ever recruited at the level he will this year. He's been in the lower top 10 and top 15. His class last year wasn't impressive.

Ha ha. Yeah, I think some folks on here look at Clemson and think Pruitt should be recruiting like that. If we follow Clemson’s pattern we won’t be recruiting like that for maybe another 9-10 years. That helps put Dabo’s success in perspective, and also helps you realize how much patience is required to match it.

I’ve been thinking about what JG needs to do to help us win more football games. It may not be fair but I was sort of comparing him to Josh Dobbs in a way. See, I think Josh Dobbs was a football player first and a quarterback second and I was thinking maybe JG has that backwards. He’s a quarterback that needs to be more of a football player. That may not make sense to some. I understand. I did some research because I wanted to better understand the “IT” factor that I’ve often heard about. For sure, by his senior year with us, I think most people would agree that Josh Dobbs had the “IT” factor. I found this article which lays it all out. It’s long but it’s a good, well researched, article and an interesting read. I think you, like me, will come away from reading this article, perhaps believing that JG does in fact have the “IT” factor and all we really need to do is give him a decent offensive line and an above average defense and then it will be clear for everyone to see. jmo.

The article is from 2014.

The It Factor

Long, but good article. Nothing annoys me more than people talking about the "it" factor or how a player is simply a winner or "knows how to win". Chryst had some of that magic too before he came here.

What about Kirby?

Well, at least there's the 25 limit rule. The 3 can only take around 75 of the top 100.
That'll show 'em.

I honestly think college football may be the worst sports product going at the moment, at least at the collegiate level. Way too top heavy. Pretty much the same cast of characters in contention for the playoffs each year, with a token Midwest team in there for a blowout first round loss each year. If recurring trends hold, we will see much of the same for the foreseeable future. I wonder if the playoff system perpetuates the top heaviness...

Agree. “It factor” lol. The biggest made up, imaginary trait in sports.

Happened with NFL and Patriots.
And Nascar. I read 1 team owner won something stupid like 16 of 20 or something.
Didn't do either sport any good.

clemson can get away with top 15 recruiting and development because of the conf they play in. i think the ACC has come a long way, but they're dominating it at a point in time when FSU, Miami, VT, UVA etc...are all down.

we wont' get out of our own division, or conference, if we're not matching talent first..... and we have a long way to go there. we're taking the right steps. i think we're headed in the right direction. but it wont' happen over night.

i'll be interested to see where we are aby the end of year 4. if we're consistently in the top 10, and getting the LOS prospects we want along the way, we'll get there, or at least give ourelves a chance to get there on the field that is.

We are not UGA. We’ve been in the dumps for a decade plus. We are much closer to what Dabo inherited at Clemson than what Kirby inherited at UGA. You are setting yourself up for serious disappointment if you think otherwise.
Thanks but I'm fine. Making conversation
But I don't expect 9-10 years like you mentioned either.
