This is what my post should say
Summer of 94 was between my high school and starting college and the HORDE Tour came to Knoxville on the Worlds Fair grounds. Allman Brothers, Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd, Dave Matthews Band, Rusted Root, and maybe a few others - all day long on two stages. Man that was awesome!

Oops, did that all wrong

I was there. Was a great show. Loved Horde festivals back in the day. Very cool and unexpected moment for me during Blues Traveler set. They introduced a kid to come out on stage to play bass for a bit. The crazy part, he had no arms or legs. Played with his feet lying on the stage. Was surreal and sounded really good. Went to high school with him in Nashville. Had a few classes with him. Sat next to him, Jeff, in history class. Always helped him with whatever he needed. Cool as hell to talk to. The good ole days at festivals, especially at Starwood.

Oh I thought they played that marathon set because someone didn't show. I remember watching it online. I wish Jim James would put this piddlin' solo crap to bed and get the band back together. Seeing them at Red Rocks is a religious experience. Probably one of the greatest rock bands in the 21st century, along with The White Stripes and The Black Keys.
My Morning Jacket is my favorite band in the world, and Bonnaroo '03 is where I fell in love with them. I've been all over to see them; and, yes, a religious experience live.

Love The White Stripes and Black Keys, as well. Can't forget The Strokes when it comes to great 21st century bands, though.

I've seen two shows at the Red Rocks, Foo Fighters who were awesome in spite of what you say :) and Jason Isbell which also rocked. That is without a doubt the best place I have ever been to see a concert.
Speaking of Isbell, have some pics around here somewhere with him and the rest of the Truckers back in the day. Drive By Truckers=facemelters.

watching foo fighters at red rocks is like driving a ferrari to the grocery store lol
Newt, I will say this...I can't remember what year it was, '99 or 2000...but, I saw the Foo Fighters open for the Chili Peppers at what was Starwood in Nashville, and they blew the Peppers off the stage; and the Peppers are on of my favorite bands of all time. That night, FF were on fire.

I saw them on the same tour opening for Chili Peppers in knoxville, same they blew the Peppers offstage.

Speaking of Blues Traveler, saw Popper come out on stage with Widespread Panic one year, and they did a 30 minute Werewolves of London.

I've been to many many shows all over, but, the one where I can't remember the show but was hands down the most insane party was Widespread summer 1994 probably June in Athens on a farm. I remember we had a couch in the field with kegs around us. If anyone was there, how was the show?

Funny story, the only concerts where I wouldn't get to anything other than drinking were the Dead shows....
