Went to the first 6 Roo's, when it was a Widespread Panic fest; and then the 10 yr anniversary. Those were the greatest times, imo. However, everything changed after '06, after Radiohead. I love Radiohead, and that show was awesomely unbelievable; however, the atmosphere just changed drastically after that year.
The greatest show I've ever seen was at Bonnaroo...My Morning Jacket, 2008.
Oh I thought they played that marathon set because someone didn't show. I remember watching it online. I wish Jim James would put this piddlin' solo crap to bed and get the band back together. Seeing them at Red Rocks is a religious experience. Probably one of the greatest rock bands in the 21st century, along with The White Stripes and The Black Keys.It wasn't because of Kanye. It was because Roo was still Roo then. It's a shadow of its former self now.
I agree with you. I've gone out to see them at Red Rocks and I'm kinda thinking about going out there again this summer.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some five stars, but with these one-and-done players you don't get what we got last night. You never really get to know these players. You never really get to see them grow as basketball players or people. I can't imagine what senior night is like at a place like KY or Duke.It might be selfish...but I really hope the juniors (Bone, Grant, Turner, & Bowden) all return next season so they & the fans have the opportunity to give them a similar send off.
I cried seeing Admiral crying & Grant choking up. It really is a family and so many casual fans and fairweather fans don't truly understand how much the team means to them.

A huge regret for me is not seeing the Allman Brothers.
Musically, the best show I’ve ever seen.[/QOUTE]
Summer of 94 was between my high school and starting college and the HORDE Tour came to Knoxville on the Worlds Fair grounds. Allman Brothers, Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd, Dave Matthews Band, Rusted Root, and maybe a few others - all day long on two stages. Man that was awesome!
I've seen two shows at the Red Rocks, Foo Fighters who were awesome in spite of what you sayMy favorite place in the world to see a concert. Ive seen The Allman Bros, The Black Keys, The Avetts Bros and My Morning Jacket at Red Rocks. Pretty much a majority of my desert island playlist.
Had a cauliflower crust pizza tonight (fully CF, not the 1/3 cauliflower crust like Oprah is shilling) and it wasn't too bad. The biggest downside is the value - it was $9 for what is essentially a small thin crust pizza. Upside is very low carb - for you ketoers.
Pizza addiction is a real thing, but this may be enough to get me through. My Suboxone Pizza.
I went to Roo 96, had a blast. Not necessarily a huge Metallica fan, but they rocked to close it out. It really depends on the year. Generally, it's about 85-90 and the humidity is decent. But it is at a time of year where there is some variety of weather conditions and I've seen weekends down in the 60s-70s. Rain is always a possibility as well. That's awesome. Almost cashed out a bitcoin last Summer to make a trip of it. Alas, had a wedding around the corner. Still want to go sometime. How's the weather/humidity?
