If people like it, I have nothing against it. I just don't like it there. I have to go there all the time and have found nothing redeeming about it. It has no culture, cuisine, nightlife, or identity to speak of. There are about three (3) blocks downtown that have any sort of charm, but almost every West Tennessee town has that. If I lived in Milan or Brownsville, and was scared shitless of Memphis like those people seem to be, maybe I'd see it differently. I am thankful that is not the case.

Just rewatched the end of the game again. That CBS announcer said as Admiral broke away “don’t do it, don’t do it”. I can’t stand the non-stop bias against us from everyone. It’s frustrating! Don’t slam it to cap off a huge butt-whipping...don’t do it to my beloved Kentucky blue blood program. Whatever, man! If UK was about to dunk it to cap off a big game like that, the same guy would be saying “send it in and put an exclamation on this win!”
What a joke

People go to Jackson because it is closer than Memphis. Ain't nobody scared. Everyone packs heat these days. Look on a map at all the surrounding communities around Jackson. It supports all of them with jobs, stores that are not in there town, restaurants, ect. So lots of people would think your opinion needs to be kept to yourself.
If everyone kept their opinion to themselves, this site would become a boring wasteland, like Jackson.

So my question now is if LSU is close in either of these last two games. Will the SEC tell the refs to help the non-LSU team to try and get a UT v UK final in the SEC tournament?

You start it then screw it up. Are you ADHD?

It has been interesting to watch this season play out as the Blue Collar Vols creating all kinds of issues for the media and blue bloods of Bball... From horrible biased officiating, to rankings that don't make a bit of sense and are clearly biased in themselves... the NCAA final bracket rankings should be crazy... Duke losing several late in the season, but not moving much because of one player out, Gonzaga strength of schedule is pitiful, yet they stay at the top, and the Vols lose a couple to highly ranked teams and slide farther than anyone and won't get the slide back after whipping the team that caused half of this crap in the first place. KY complaining, yet still got most of the calls yesterday and will stay highly ranked. We will need to win out and at least get to the SEC championship game to hold our hard earned #1 seed because everyone will look for that excuse to take it away from us... This crap should be so easy to see, why isn't someone other than the Vols calling someone out on this?
Either way, we have had a tremendous season and I don't care if we get a 1 or a 2 seed (2 may actually put us in a better spot to go deeper)TWSS, I think we will do very well in the tourney! Elite 8 minimum

To be fair to Raftery, he always says stuff like that for every team. He just genuinely doesn't like teams to pad the score when the game is over.

Just to remind you guys, Gonzaga played Arizona, Washington, Texas AM, Illinois, Duke, Tennessee, Creighton, and North Carolina in the preseason. They create as difficult a schedule as they can get. Sometimes teams that are traditionally strong (Arizona, Creighton, and TAM) end up being ******, but these games are scheduled 2 or 3 years in advance. While the WCC doesn't have a second high level team, the conference overall is better this year than others.

With that being said, it's ridiculous to pin an argument for Tennessee not being a #1 on SOS. As stupid as it is, timing of your losses is huge in making tournament rankings. I'm not worried though. Our boys are going to whip both LSU and Kentucky on the way to their first SEC Tourney chip.

watching game again on SEC network with about 12:30 left in the second... I am truly amazed listening to the announcers at how openly biased they are, trying to WILL KY back into the game... if TN does something they make an excuse and downplay, but if KY picks their nose, they go crazy... hilarious, and makes the win even sweeter... wonder when, or if, these idiots will ever get that excited about us? SMH, I wish for once someone would call them out or make them listen to how ridiculous they sound... sadly it is in every sport, but biased commentating has become the norm...
