I'm convincing myself the refs played a big part of losing to Kentucky. Kentucky should not have beaten Arkansas either but they are allowed to play however the hell they want. They came out and got away with every potential call possible, we couldn't play how we wanted to without picking up stupid fouls while they could. We had to shoot the lights out to have a chance and had an off night. We're going to kick their ass when they come to TBA.
Same can be said for LSU, A LOT of questionable calls in that game

He wasn't on the track for the minor league grind. He was going to be wading through 250 million dollar offers in a few years. Guaranteed money, not those fake contract numbers like the NFL likes to throw out. There's more money in baseball and there is no argument there. Last I checked baseball players can still endorse things too. Not to mention the physical toll on the body. To each his own though.

Just gonna disagree with you there on a lot of parts. MLB players are just as banged up and it’s maybe even more of a grind. 162 games is a beast. So this whole easier on the body thing is a complete myth to me.

There is also not even close to a fast track to a 250 mil dollar contract. I’m guessing you’re referring to Nolan’s Arenado new deal but he’s been an absolute machine the last 4 years. One of the handful of best players in baseball for a while now.

The average MLB salary this year was 4 mil$.
If you are even a decent NFL based on the market now you will make 20+ mil after your rookie deal. And judging off bakers contract (Bc i think Kyler goes 1 to Arizona) he will make about 8mil/year the first 4 years. So worst case scenario even as a busy he will make about 30mil. That’s more than 90% of mlb players make.

I think it played a part in the score getting away from us, but not losing.

Got caught up at work, and updated my Class of 2020 Spreadsheet. I attached it if anyone wants to take a gander. I'm sure I am still missing some info on visits, rating changes, etc... However, it compiles a lot of UT Recruiting data. This is not everyone we have offered, but it is who we seem to be pursing the most. The percentages reflect where I feel we are with that player, nothing exact in recruiting, so take them with a grain of salt.

Some interesting items worth noting:

- We have offered a ton of WR's and DL in 2020. We seem to be being selective with DB offers.
- We are going to have to make some hard choices and turn some good players away on the OL and at RB.
- I'd say atleast 85% of the guys I had on this spreadsheet dropped in their composite after the last update. Someone has to go up for others to go down, but it wasn't any of the guys we are after.
- Surprisingly, South Carolina is set up for a big 2020 in recruiting. They appear to be having some momentum in NC and GA. I think they will have a rough year next year, which hopefully will curb that momentum.

We peaked way too early it appears. But glad the good guys finally got a break for a change. We needed something positive to happen.
Peaked too early is one way to look at it but I kinda believe our guys are just tired. When guys are tired, the front of the rim comes into play and it's definitely in play for us right now.

The way i see it is we’ve played 4 games that are elite 8 level imo. We are 1-3 in those.

Kansas
Gonzaga
Kentucky
LSU
The way I see it, is that two of those teams, despite playing at home, had to have considerable help from officials to beat us...in overtime.
