The last thing Fulmer wants is another coaching search right now, especially for a program with a divided fanbase that's going to mount opposition from all directions. Holly could decide she's had enough. If she wants another year before retirement, Fulmer's in a tough spot. No matter what he does or doesn't do, there will be a lot of unhappy people and much rabble-rousing. Not smart to let the program decline to this level and allow the situation to become this inflammatory.

Yeah I just checked Neyland Dr. they are rioting in the streets!

I'm 60% sure that 20% of all sports fans are at least somewhat familiar with the top 10% of women's college basketball head coaches. :) Who does Phil hire? If him I would immediately try to hire Jeff Walz and lock him in long term. I would cut out all the "it has to be a woman" noise and do the right thing for the program. It's going to take a couple recruiting cycles to fix the roster issues, but they will literally improve Jeff's first day on the job. If not him, they will pick the up and comer. But program legacy hires should be out IMO. New blood needed badly. The game has moved on from Pat's days.

There's no roster issues for the Lady Vols, last year's class had 4 top 100 ESPN ranked players, the 2019 class coming in has the #2 player in the country. That's 6 five stars in 2 classes, the lone non 5 star is a prospect that's 6'5". Holly unfortunately doesn't seem capable when it comes to Xs & Os and player development.

A few Head Coaches I'd target:
Nikki Fargas, played here, was an assistant here and she's from TN too.
Kellie (Jolly) Harper, played here, from TN and has a good bit of HC experience.
Matthew Mitchell, former assistant under Pat, SEC experience and has a stellar record as a HC already.

Siap but the director of SEC officials Mark Whitehead is a Louisiana native and his son attends LSU. I understand that everyone is from somewhere but I wonder if he has a personal relationship with Anthony Jordan and turned a blind eye to him reffing LSU games.

Thanks for the information. Do you know how many LV movers and shakers (if that's the right term) still believe in Holly? I just don't see how anyone with half a brain believes she can turn it around.

It would be best for all concerned if she did retire, and I hope she does. She seems miserable and is clearly lost out there coaching. Time for both sides to move on.

On football - I doubt CJP is focused on winning the 7-8 games most on here are predicting. He wants to win each and every game. He would not have hired Chaney if he planned the stair step approach. This staff is not growing into their roles. They know their roles. CJP is the only one growing into his and he has worked for NC winning HC's and AD's. His time is now. The players that want to play will be busting it. As fans we will accept 7-8 wins as good progress - but I just don't see CJP agreeing with that. It's not reflected in his words and actions. It's not reflected in his recruiting. When have you ever seen so many elite athletes at least kicking the tires and coming for visits? They know what's happening here. Good times ahead.
This roster may not be final four but I think it's close. I think Jeff would Walz right in here and have us close to a final four next year.

I heard that Anthony Jordan was also fired from reffing in the NBA. That’s a bad look on the SEC, all the refs suck in the NBA.

This is wrong. So wrong. Back yard bbq isn’t great. Are you looking for bbq? Or just anything?

Tulum is a Mexican restaurant with great fish tacos. The blacksmith downtown is great (though kinda slow). If you are looking for a beer and a slice, try rock n dough. Or Picasso out north.

BBQ? Baker brothers bbq downtown.

@Big Gucci Sosa
Did I say it was?

How much front squatting do you do? I switched around the new year from focusing mainly on back squats, to focusing on mainly front squats. What I noticed very quickly was that there was a muscle imbalance with glutes that were too developed (pause), and quads were lacking development. After about 2 months of alternating strength/power and hypertrophy/endurance rep and set ranges, with a focus on front squats and other quad accessory work, the gains have been magnificent.

The first thing that I immediately noticed was that lingering lower back pain was all gone. That was due to overworked glutes (pause) from doing too much back squatting. The next thing I noticed was that the lingering pain in my knees went away due to having a stronger core. Now I'm shedding time on 1 mile, 5k, and 10ks runs almost everytime I put on my running shoes.

Funny, I started doing the same a few months ago, never liked front squats bc it was just uncomfortable. I do squats, back and front, once a week. I never go over 275 on back tho, and usually just rep out 225 for 15-17. Fronts, I never go over 155.
I’ve had 4 knee surgeries over the years, but my knees and hips feel great, no lower back pain any more either. My max squat back in the day was 495 weighing 190. Fairly certain that weight would crumble me to the floor now!

Yeah its tragic. Staying with grandparents in Lakeland while here for work. Chain on chain on chain. Anyone know a good lunch spot in Jackson? Have to go there on Wednesday

You would probably like Rock N Dough pizza and brewery if near downtown

Picassos is really good spot for pizza and a drink if in town near their vann drive area

Tacos 4 life is a good new place for food.
