Doesn’t matter in hindsight. It shows how much meddling we have had in the administration. You don’t hire a coach and then tell him who he is going to interview.

I don't think that information was known at the time. Only that Butch offered and Tee didn't want to come and disrupt wife's career. I wouldn't put it past Butch to have used the media to poison the well.

Thing is, he at least knows what he has in guys already here. A lot can hate on Drew...he's not lived up to his hype, I get that but he has been durable. Hasn't missed much time, obviously is a good dude, doesn't get into trouble, and is involved with the community. I want him here even if he doesn't play because a guy like that is not a bad guy to have in your locker room. He's a leader, and if he ever buys into what Fitz & staff say about him...if he ever flips the switch, he's got everything physically needed to be a beast.

That's not a leader, that's not being the solution...That is being the problem.

Maybe that's what brought Tee back...a chance to be over QBs under Chaney is a dream job if your long term goal is to be a top level offensive guy. A few years doing that and big time OC/HC jobs will pop up in no time.

Someone on VQ referred to Amari Rodgers tweet and said he should graduate early and come play for his dad in Knoxville. Austin Price replied, "you know that's not out of the equation".

I will admit that I used to have a very strong dislike for Amari because of the whole Tee Higgins thing, but after all the crap we have seen come out about Butch, I would welcome Amari here, gladly.

You're welcome to whatever opinion you want on Drew. But hell AI was a leader in college & pros, but he didn't reach the next level for himself as a player until he bought in (understood, took to heart, realized, etc.) what Larry Brown was trying to teach him.


I feel like Drew does everything he's supposed to, but just doesn't seem to get how good he can really be. Barnes pulls the best out of his players and Pruitt does the same. Not all players really take off in that type of coaching. Doesn't make them any less of a leader just means they for whatever reason never realized the potential their coaches saw in them.

Butch is petty, he went to Bama so he could play UT once a year and coat tail ride. If he wanted to still be a HC or OC he could be, maybe not at the P5 level.
