Jury is still out on chip Kelly. If he's losing 4-5 games in a couple of years then I'll say he's a flop. This convo got me thinking... remember how many people were convinced that Chip Kelly was an absolute homerun and could coach circles around Mehlen? (I admittedly thought Chip would be better than he’s been)
Fun times
I think his recruiting wasn't all that. A lot of undersized athletic types. Would occasionally get a really good one or two but I always thought he was one of those more with less kind of coaches.
I think the thing with Chip is that unlike Pruitt, he isnt going to be able to recruit that well. He's pushing for that 50 spot this year and nothing suggest that it will get better. Some of that may be my hate for the man who tried to destroy the Eagles franchise from within. So Pruitt needs time to get his players before he can be judged... but Kelly doesn't? I'm not sure either one of them will meet lofty expectations, but they both are rebooting.
I don't know Vic but I know Rashaan. He said Vic in loved by his coaches at Cal. He just could see the writing on the wall for the Cheese bowl and he didn't believe that 3 catches for 45yrds in the cheese bowl was going to improve his draft stock. But a torn ACL could ruin any possibility for a player that's not 1st round. Rashaan said he should have came out last year when he had a decent draft grade but he got greedy and the experts told him to duplicate his JR year and he could go in the 1st rd. I know Hindsight!!! LolBurning the bridge and Pro Day were questions to you since you seem connected to him somehow. I just thought it was odd that he was a no show and was removed from the roster etc. It could work both ways, participate in the bowl game and ball out to make an impression. Right?

Everyone knows why Oregon was able to recruit well during his time there. He is being exposed for what he really is on the recruiting front. This is it for me, too.
3-9 in year 1 (with a blowout to Fresno and liss to Cinci) is a tough pill to swallow but I’m baffled at his recruiting.
Only signed 1 of the top 55(!) prospects in the state of California.
