I agree with Cat...it's a goofy, nerdie term. Just saying Billy Bob is in the Official Transfer Database should be sufficient.

There were probably a bunch of NCAA staffers who found themselves bored one afternoon and were streaming old Star Trek episodes, came up with the new term, and it surprisingly grew some legs...

Before the portal there was no official transfer database.

The portal has made is easier and more simple for schools and transfers to connect legally.

Weird thing I've noticed in the FF.
When we play a northern team, ooc or bowl game, several members start responding to their fans with "ya'll".
But unlike you, they never type that any other time. Just weird.
