The one hire I thought was absolutely horrible. We could have done better.

I didn’t notice a difference. Our best runningback got yards and in recruiting we got a better running back.

Pruitt has had a full year to evaluate Osovet up close.

1. I agree and am very curious at to what Osovet would bring.

2. This is why some of the "optics" comments.
Osovet could be what we need but that's at least a year to know and probably 2 years because of roster.
That's a long time. Had Pruitt jumped at the chance after his year of observation - 100% confidence.
The extended search gives *perception of room for doubt.
Whether people here admit it or not.

I would have felt more confident during that season or 2 stretch.
Also possible it was Osovet and Pruitt was just being diligent.
If we find out that's the case, then it wipes out the concern.
Legitimate thoughts no matter who rants otherwise.
