Has anybody considered Troy offensive coordinator, Matt Moore?

He was nominated for Frank Broyles award in 2016 and he coached at Hoover High for 6 years. Not sure of exact years and if he and Pruitt were ever on the same staff but if so this could be the guy.

You suck that **** up and don’t let it show. Let’s ride

Lol. On the plus side, I think we're fine on the offensive side of the ball, it's defensive recruiting that has me concerned. Between Pruitt being praised for his defensive mind and our staff that's supposed to be great recruiters, I had high hopes for that side of the ball.

Pretty obvious that if we we really wanted to promote internally it would've been done already.

I disagree. The only thing obvious to me is that they're doing a good job of keeping what's going on behind the curtain.

Just one possibility is that they may have reasons they want Felton recruiting right now, rather than another guy that they plan to move to OC.

I don't have a clue whether they'll pick an OC from current staff or Google. I just don't see that it's obvious, either way.

Sark was an offensive analyst and then took over as OC when Kiffin left. You’re right tho, totally different. “We don’t like you enough to coach a position but we’ll let you call plays in the biggest game of the year” am I doing this right?

Osovet also interviewed and was considered for the WR job, so clearly Pruitt thought somewhat highly of him.

Humor me. Are you the least bit aware of the Sark and Osovets previous experience? Totally different situations.

He could have done that and watched as Vol fans melted down and maybe damaged recruiting with their constant whining. This way, ESD will be over and the class will be in the books. He can make any move he wants now and whining Vol fans can't destroy this class. Seems pretty simple to me.
This.... Plus he may have interviewed others to be sure that Osevet was who he wanted. It's been reported no offers were made. We always assume we will be turned down.

Good to see the job that Pruitt & Co. are doing on the recruiting trail. Looking forward to it being even better for the '20 class, since they'll have had another year to have been working on those guys.

Some will do this regardless of what happens, we could sign the #1 class in the country and hire the #1 OC in the country and it wouldn't be good enuff to some.

Except.... Experience had nothing to do with your original post

But continue to tell me how Sark going from Analyst to Calling plays in the title game is so much different than Osovet going from QC to OC

Troy has always been able to put up lots of points. In fact, I believe they've always been respectable in all three phases of the game.

So if we do, and you later warm up to the idea, do we start getting info from a new poster named Dale Gribble?🤔
Kinda hope so, Dale is pretty damn awesome.

It would be John Redcorn if anything but no. If any of them we’re truely the best choice, they would’ve been named already.
