I watched Kansas Play in the Final 4 back when they had Nick Collison. They were down 1 with 15 seconds left. Collison had 4 fouls. Roy Williams, Hall of Fame Coach, left him in the game. His player got the ball on the inbounds and guess who fouled....Collison. Their best player and best 3 point shooter sat out the last 13 seconds. FT's were good and down 3. He should have taken him out of the game and put someone else in to foul and then put him back in a run a set for him to tie the game. My point being I coached high school basketball for 27 years. Made no more than 5,000 dollars, not 3 million that Roy makes, doing it and I had enough sense to take him out while in a fouling situation. You put me in front of 100K and I still make that decision every day. Every coach came from somewhere. It doesnt meant that they can't just because they are D2.Meh, I’m honestly tired of going down the unproven coach route. They might freeze up when they are under the gun in a big environment with 100k+ screaming fans.
why have a problem with them? The only ones I have a big problem with are trolls like fake Travis Stephens Vol34 and some others that have been proven as potstirring trolls.
i don't think the most interesting thing will be finding who's sources were the best.
i'm sure everyone's sources or whatever, were all relaying things they heard at the time. so in that context, how wrong would that insider really be?
things change, information that may have been right at one time, isn't at others.
this obsession we have on this board with either validating or tearing down supposed insiders is weird.
yeah, the obssession thing was more a general statement about the board as opposed to being specific to you.I'm not trying to tear anyone down, i'm not even referring to posters on here (even though there are a few). I'm just pointing out that even local media are having a hard time figuring out what's going on, as well as "insiders". A lot of these people have thrown things at the wall just to see if it'll stick. I just think it will be interesting to see who actually has inside information, and who is relying on others to break news.
You can go back and look at my posts, I can assure you I don't have an obsession with this.
Guys, don't be curious. You'll get called out.
I absolutely agree that there are a couple here that obsess over who's right and who's wrong. It's annoying to have to sort through pages of it, believe me. They want to be the ones who claim they followed them all along, etc....yeah, the obssession thing was more a general statement about the board as opposed to being specific to you.
see below, he's not leaving UGA w/out a HUGE fight:Maybe it's Coley?
all very good points. and certainly reason to believe that he makes sense given all the above. that said, i'm not sure it's chaney. i think there'd be more smoke, and there's absolutely no reason not to announce it if it was him....1. Smart gave their hotshot recruiter "Co/OC" title to keep him on staff after last season.
2. Smart stripped Chaney of the QB coaching duties and gave them to this hot shot recruiter to keep him.
3. Chaney still calls plays but isn't happy about being a "co-OC and not happy about not coaching the QB's.
4 Money. He makes over $300k less than Helton did.
5. His contract ends in January, and they still haven't worked out a new deal.
Its Jim Chaney.
I guess they are using the "injury" excuse?

You certainly got the traveler part right! It's Sarkisian, until it isn't. Makes the most sense, college and NFL experience. Is a "traveler" as he was worked all over the place. Worked at Bama with Pruitt in 2016 and will be available after 12/30 so an agreement might be in place but no signatures yet (i.e 95% in place).
He already has.
Williams won his third national championship on April 3, 2017 when he led the Tar Heels to victory against the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Williams is one of six NCAA Men's Division I college basketball coaches to have won at least three national championships.
Roy Williams has won NC's as a head coach at North Carolina
