A lot of people are going away from playbooks now. I read an article last year about how Leach doesn't use one anymore, either. With technology, they can use video to teach the plays without having an actual written book. It was pretty cool the way they talked about how Leach installs his offense now. Apparently, he can install the whole thing in under 2 weeks these days with the help of technology and the experience he has with his system.Theres nothing secretive about it tho, its called the veer and shoot. They dont use a playbook tho so I'll give u that
So what's your take? Is Mathews wrong/misleading? Is there an end to this in the foreseeable future? It will be hard to keep a new hire quiet once there is an agreement in principle. There are too many ways for it to "leak" and agents are usually a good source, with the favor bank in play. Better optics for UT to have it out there.
Not at all my friend. Lots of trust and loyalty in a college lockeroom. You don't want that lost just before the playoffs.
Curious if you played or coached college athletics?
Guarantee you that 75% of that team has no idea that Enos has the job title of AHC
They aren’t going to “resent” the QB coach leaving and then turn around and be perfectly chill with the OC leaving too
Lol
most are a 3 day install and u just repeat thatA lot of people are going away from playbooks now. I read an article last year about how Leach doesn't use one anymore, either. I agree but some would argue losimg the associate head coaching title would make
It false
Those arguing that would be dumb
Here’s what I’ll say: when Doug Matthews dropped that 95% line I got a text shortly afterwards that said there’s a lot of smoke around Enos. Obviously I cannot validate the accuracy but I have no reason to doubt it at this point.I think it's clear the media has been clueless. Perhaps they have been misled
No the optics from a players point of view would be one of two things^^
The optics would be that he took a job that offered him more responsibility, better pay, and increased possibility of being a HC again one day if he was successful. Anyone getting hung up on that title is most likely.. well... exactly what he said above.
No the optics from a players point of view would be one of two things
1) why is he leaving to be Tenn OC over our OC
Or
2) my head coach didn't want him as our next OC so why should I trust his coaching now before the play offs
Either way it's an unwanted distraction heading into the playoffs for Bama
Look at his wonderlic score. Shouldn’t surprise anyone he is not a great X’s and O’s Guy
