Briles is instant offense everywhere he’s been. He’s a 10 point swing in our favor year 1.

Pruitt really believes in Friend. OL coach is critical also. If Briles wants to bring Clement, try to find a position for him, but I don't see Pruitt getting rid of Friend at all.

I automatically assumed that AV meant the "other candidate" was preferred and that AV liking sasp post was also a sign.

Was fine with Enos but millst (of all people ) made a decent point, to me anyways. Same systems with less talent seems questionable.

One could argue (pretty easily) that Will Friend has recruited more talent to his unit than any other coach on staff. I am not eager to kick him to the curb like some around here are, especially if it will effect Wright.

Just wondering..what are the chanches this hire does come out of left field..but in a good way. With some one like a Chaney..or someone else its not even leaked we have talked too? We have a football guy AD and a real football coach who I get the feeling the athletic department respects the heck out of..and maybe they just wont leak.. think we all suffer from bvs so really hard to get over that. But could this Tennessee taking a no bs approach to football operations now?

Seems to me that it's possible that Pruitt interviewed Briles and Lebby at the same place and maybe at the same time. I have a hard time believing that Pruitt did in person interviews with two different people in two different states, especially when one of them was said to have taken hours and he was back on campus last night recruiting.

In my mind, it seems to indicate that the Lebby interview is much more likely to be gauging his interest in coming on board if Briles is indeed the hire at OC. Or perhaps, he met with both Briles and Lebby at the same place and talked about what both of them bring to the table and why it is important to bring Lebby with him.
