Wait, some of y'all still don't have Bruin on ignore?

To each his own, but people that have the option to ignore his posts and instead reads them...AND RESPONDS....simply have a different outlook on life than me. Which is fine. But I get zero enjoyment from anything that comes as a result of Bruin's posts.

I wonder what it was Butch actually DID. Was it as simple as not letting Shoop hire who he wanted?
i think he was handcuffed budget wise on hiring assistants, and shoop wasn't really afforded the opportunity to bring anyone he wanted.

and the defensive roster just wans't very good, especially at LB. woefully undermanned there while Shoop was here. and just not vrey good anywhere else...had a bunch of injuries too.

wound up just not being a good fit all the way around.....

I'd say he did not relinquish power to do the job along with not allowing the hiring of the desired assistants. Even without the hires he wanted, I have always felt Shoop would have been able to put a good defense on the field if he would have been given the control to do so.

Agents float as much junk news as anyone because it's perceived to help their clients. News guys don't mind gobbling it up because sometimes it's true, and even when it's not, it gives their readers something to chew on and makes it look like the reporter has been digging and has sources everywhere (which is kinda true).

Sports journalism is bloated with this stuff, and here we are panicking every day since last week because no one has been hired. We don't and won't know the truth because it's mixed into to too much flotsam.

Everyone just needs to relax and enjoy the holiday season.

7-5 with jg

8-4 wth Hurts

Ain't worth it imo

Because 6-6 and Pruitt getting fired is in play in year 3
You have to understand the difference between the two programs, and the implications and expectations. Jalen in many ways is similar to Jarrett. Until you factor in scrambling ability. Both have question marks in the passing game, reactions and decision making.
What might not be good enough for Saks fifth avenue, is perfectly wonderful for K-Mart, blue light shoppers.
The rub on jalen was taking off for 12 yard gains when receivers were open for 50 yard gains.

I'll take it, when compared to the same play for us results in a newborn deer-like crazy legged sack for minus 9 yards.

And reports of practice issues. And strength and conditioning problems. All the things.

And didn't he make a comment about the players needed to workout?

I don't have anybody on ignore, life has good and bad I want to see it all.

I wish we needed to worry about this.

Probably more after finals this week?
Would make sense. Just seems odd to me though...I think players genuinely enjoy playing for Pruitt. Roster turnover has been a major issue at Tennessee the last decade. If he can develop some of these guys instead of allowing them to transfer it should help us in the future.

Wow, everyone must be getting some work done today… This thread is going at a snail’s pace compared to the last 10 days. Sounds like a good day for an announcement then. Pruitt was probably just waiting for the lull on Volnation before he announced yet.

I think it's just apathy setting in

We've learned that nothing ever happens until tomorrow.
