There's actually multiple people picking ETSU to win in the pick the score contest, my mind is blown.

They do it every year. Bunch of posters never here during the off-season or after a win. But after a loss, they flood the board talking about all they "give" being a TN fan and how we'll only win 2 or 3 games.

Lots of "realist" comments tossed in and how they want more for their University than us mediocrity lovers.
Same shtick every year, every loss.

Every time I listen to VolCalls I lose a little more faith in some of our fans haha. Man some of these questions are beyond ridiculous.
Next on the line we have Bob from Bolivar...hello Bob...Bob, are you th...

HELLO! This is Bob. Hey, I just wanted to say I love you Coach Pruitt and I just wanted to know who you’re gonna start at QB this week. I’ll hang up and listen.

You're exactly right about blowing them off both sides of the ball, the whole game, no reason we shouldn't if we bring right amount of intensity and effort.
Forget last year, man, it's over. Let's stick to your original point about this wkend, nothing else; this wkend should be the most important thing being discussed right now, besides Kennedy's injury. What do you think we have to do this wkend to make sure of what you were talking about, blowing them off the ball? Who you going with/what combo across OL now that Kennedy is out?
I'm thinking Smith, Carvin, Ryan Johnson, Calbert, and Jahmir Johnson from left to right. Get those guys in there and let them work, maybe for the whole game. Would personally like to see a 65/35 run to pass ratio in this game. I'm more concerned with our d line than the o line though.

May see a little bit of Ollie Lane this wk; Emerson and Mincy on DL.

I swear they must a screen the calls and have required prototypes.

Favorite TV show? Springer!
Favorite shopping experience? Walmart, after midnight!

Terrible news but way less of that kinda thing than the last few years so far.
We can't afford to lose anybody worth a dang on this team. We are gonna be lucky to win 5 games this year with all hands on deck.

And before everybody starts dumping on me for saying that. The inflaters dumped on me all summer for saying what pretty much everybody can see now about this team.

I said it months ago, and I am saying it now..It will take more than just one offseason to fix this mess.

Getting through this year is going to be a slog. I just want to see them fight harder, and play tougher. I think they can...at least some of them. The youngs guns have got some spunk.

With Kennedy being out I am expecting Trey Smith to move inside at some point. In the end it might end up making us better

We had so much success throwing to the left and then seemed to abandon it?!
This is my biggest question from the game. The left side (Callaway) was uncontested all day; easy money. That's my only issue with the O. Otherwise it was well called imo.

"Nicksjuzunk's daily bolded and numerated thoughts" brought to you be not so renowned poster, Nicksjuzunk. Sponsored in part by, Kellogg's.

1. JJ Peterson becomes the next Chris Donald at Tennessee. Every few months, "Hey, how's JJ doing?" Response, "Well...". I've seen enough to make me question this one, and I'm 100% aware that there are people from similar circumstances who have done phenomenal, Travis Henry for example. I'm just going to call this one early and see how it plays out. Really disappointed he showed up so out of shape. Big difference in him and someone who seems to be hungry and grinding so hard on their own... I'm thinking of Jeremy Banks from the last cycle. Of course, we've seen training videos of dudes who never pan out also like Kongbo, so... JMO.

2. It's Thursday... get over it. You only get till Tuesday, maximum to moan over a non-conference game loss... and that's generous.

3. Two weeks of joy. Take off your mourning clothes and start celebrating early. We are about to have a winning record in a couple of weeks for probably the only time this year. If you choose to moan through that because of the competition, you really should log off and enjoy something else this fall. Life is short... this season will suck. Find joy in it, or find joy away from it, but don't be miserable... you deserve better.

4. Kennedy injury. Obviously a big blow. Looking for a bright side, another young lineman, probably Carvin is going to get those reps as people shift around, making him a premier player sooner. Also, what a great time for it to happen, with two weeks of comfortable learning curve ahead.

That's all of got to say. I expect some blow back on that JJ prediction, which is fine. That's a really early call for someone not in pads. Just reading tea leaves.

Couldn’t agree more with this point. Was hesitant to post something like this earlier but early on, this one isn’t looking good imo.

Hope like hell we are both wrong and he kills it here

I don’t see the correlation. Losing an interior lineman makes someone other than Trey the acceptable option at LT?

JJ or Tatum

It's been said Smith didn't play all that well at LT Saturday or last year so Perhaps getting him at his best spot would benefit us
