SIAP. Interesting you say this. I watched the clip that someone on VN posted of a panel discussion of the Vols. Long story short, the 4 think fans are wrong (actually they think it's funny) when they always complain about DBs not turning their head. They said there are times a DB shouldn't turn his head.

Also, they're pretty impressed with Baylen. Reminds me of the constant criticism of Jumper, so I expect him to get a look from the NFL one day.

There’s certainly times when you do need to turn and find the ball. But a lot of times it’s not necessary or you really can’t. It doesn’t mean you’re in bad coverage or position if you don’t.

I like baylen. I think he’s more of a safety than a corner just off build. He’s bulky with a low center of gravity. I think he can be a good player here for sure. Me personally i would like to see him get a look in the star position.

Johnny Majors wasn't as consistently successful as we wanted him to be, but he was faaaaaar from a failure young man. Without Majors we wouldn't have had the golden age of the 90s. The man had some great years, and won some huge ballgames. He just came up a little short...BUT..he was no failure.

If a coach was here for 16 years and he had only had 3 9+ (DD) seasons, would you consider that a failure?

I know there is context to everything but in the way it was being debated you would have to lean that way.

I've been trying to tell people this for years. Coach T dri dat bus is a joke to me. I do not get it.

Yea it’s a good question. I’m not trying to get lost in his first game at FSU. VT looked like a very good team but man he has really not done much of anything and it’s like boom Oregon wants him. Then after one 7-5 year, FSU (who is a top 5 job imo) gives him 5 mil.

Idk who this is aimed at... But had he not played here he wouldn’t have even got a chance to get to those great season. Wasn’t until his 9th season he won the conference, 7th year before he had a better than 8-4 record

I’m not old enough to know about Majors’ early years, but his first 4 years were not stellar. I wonder what our fan base would say today after his fourth season where 3 of them were not over .500. I am sure it helped that he was a native son.

I think he’s ready. He will make mistakes. But Saban still makes them. If he recruits well and keeps his staff together for a few years for the most part, we will get back to where we are in the conversation for getting to the SEC championship. That’s what the goal should be every year. Win the east and then if you win the next one, you should be in the playoff.
If we give Pruitt the same patience and faith that Clemson gave Dabo..he will succeed. I believe that. I think he is a better pure footbaw coach than Dubbo.

Dabo won his division in his first full season and won his conference in his 3rd full season and had a top 10 finish in year 4

I hope you are right. I'm not going all in until I see results on the field. It's a tall task. We've been told by the UTAD that we had great coaches for 10 years. Forgive me for being skeptical when it comes to what the university spits out.
I get that, but my opinion of Pruitt is not formed from anything they have said. The guy is a born footbaw coach..a natural. I can see that for myself.

He was ready.
