Setting yourself up for a huge let down bud

SO. FREAKING. WHAT? He has a letdown. Big deal. You certainly don't have to worry about that; it's impossible to be let down when you're always down. If you try to be more positive you might find you enjoy it more, unless you just enjoy being negative.

One thing I was impressed with (other than having only 10 guys on the field yikes) was the overall discipline, lack of flags, and time management Pruitt had for his first game. He did everything correct as far as I could tell.

I also didn't see any horrible play calls except that third down we ran the ball and got stuffed. Don't think we have any reason to be concerned about coaching yet. Just really lack talented players and experience in the new system.

Man! Catbone has been the voice of positivity and reason! I like it!

Warrior may be one of the guys that never gets it mentally. Probably was pampered by butch

His problem is he should have been playing day 1 his freshman yr getting toasted like flowers did yesterday so he had film and experience to learn from. Instead he didn't play until last yr when he should have played his freshman yr learning through his mistakes.

Pruitt has been through this before at UGA. He started I believe 3 true freshman in that secondary. They had their bruises early but got better and better and that group was key to UGA run last yr. Pruitt is going to play the talent and deal with consequences today if it helps him win in yr 2-3

Rewatched the game. Feel a lot more confident after watching a second time.

Not concerned on offense at all. OL got better. Receivers were solid. JG was solid. RB looked great. And, we don’t have a single senior out there, which is nice for the future.

Defensively, we’ve gotta play the young guys. Abernathy and Buchanan were horrible. Defensive line was surprisingly good watching a second time. Johnson, Tuttle, and Phillips consistently got pressure. It was the LBs that were beyond slow and left a lot to be desired. We’ve got to find a way to get pressure from the edge - If that happens, secondary won’t be nearly as bad.

Overall - seemed like most of the issues were miscommunication or poor execution - which should be correctable by Florida.

That being said, there were several times we were in great position to make a play and missed critical tackles - mostly the vets.

Either way, he isn't Worley slow and could have tucked it and ran a few times yesterday... hopefully this is something that is addressed and looked at as an option moving forward.
There were 3 plays yesterday that if he kept the ball he would still be running.

Someone please tell me what positions Abernathy and Flowers played yesterday???

I thought Flowers was at safety and Abernathy at nickel(star) but a number of post have me questioning myself on that
