Great team strategy or cheating? Unless MLB changes the rules to standardize stadium dimensions, I guess it's great strategy. :loco:

Great strategy combined with stupid rules. Imagine if a football or soccer team was slow but strong so the owners just narrowed the field. It's just crazy.

Another thing that doesn't get as much attention is the how close the stands are to the field. Power hitters will hit foul fly balls a lot. Something that would be an easy out in some stadiums lands in the stands in another, giving the power hitter another chance to hit.

Both teams can benefit or be hurt by it just the same.

It's an advantage because it's their home field. They play half their games there and are more used to the environs because of that. They should be better at it because they're used to hitting there.

So they have an advantage on stats through out the year? Not to mention like 5 of their top HR guys are Right Handed hitters. But anytime a game is played there both teams have the advantage of having a short porch in RF. Same thing for playing in Boston who has the shortest RF in all of baseball.

Boston also has the green monster in left. Judge and Stanton live off of pop fly homers to the opposite field. 81 games a year. Look up how many judge has put there this year.

I’m not disputing that it’s not easy to hit HRs in certain parks. But both teams are hitting in the same park. It’s just as easy for an opposing player to hit them there as it is the Yankees.

He isnt arguung that other teams dont try to use the short porch. He is talking about Judge hitting at that porch 81 times a year vs an oppopsing player playing in 10 games max( an estimation im too lazy to do the math) if they're in the division. Thats 71 extra games for Judge to hit 316ft pop ups that count as homeruns
