You seem to be the only one not owning what you said. He may end up not playing a down but it won't be because he has a noodle arm. Everyone has an opinion. The difference is some of us own it when it's shown to be wrong.

I called the kid a noodle arm, lmao. How in the world is that such a horrible thing to say? I mean y’all are acting like I destroyed this kids life by calling him a noodle arm. Give it a rest. I’m not apologizing, or “owning it,” for calling someone a noodle arm. I still don’t believe the kid is very good. Noodle arm Maurer might turn out to be the GOAT. Honestly, I hope he is great.

I just don't get the "burn it all" mentality.

It's all good. You can go back to Russell Athletic big baggy jerseys from 80's and font that can be read from space if you are so desperate for how it was "in the good old days", I guess. I'm just ready to win.

I dig progress within the walls of tradition.

No one thinks you’re ruining a kids life. Contrarily, I think he’d laugh at your assessment. We just think your YouTube scouting opinion is dumb. It is however your right to post blatantly idiotic opinions whenever you want. Hell, I encourage it. It eliminates the basketball talk.

Good, quit giving me grief over it then and move on with your life.

Seriously?
I don't mind your takes (or chiefs) but stop pretending that you want it to stop.
When either of you find something that gets others "worked up" you harp on it repeatedly. You're not victims, it's intentional and it stopping is the last thing either of you want.

You be you. That's what makes VN so good. Just don't expect people to remain quiet if they disagree with your opinion.

Yep. I’m that way on Butch too. He was a bad head coach in the end, but there were some all time great memories and players in his era, including Dobbs, Barnett, Kamara, ending the streak vs Florida, the Hail Mary against UGA, the Battle at Bristol. It’s not like we didn’t have some good times in his era.

So to change up the subject a bit, for us to be just transitioning back to pure white and orange with no alternate colors, they are dropping a lot of smokey grey and what seems to be black gear?

Seems like they might have a uniform cooking for 2019? Considering they can't change them this year....?

Edit: BTW these look awesome.

Wow, love those shoes!!

Kid threw it 63 yds the other day. That isn't a noodle arm. Nag on his accuracy and consistency but give the noodle arm a rest as it's clearly inaccurate

It has to be asked...what is your definition of a Vol?

Now, maybe this is my military background talking, but I believe you need to earn your stripes before you become a VOL. I could be wrong, but I would believe that guys like Al Wilson would agree that a true VOL is someone that puts in the blood, sweat, and tears over time to achieve similar successes as those before them.

Right? I even tried to change the subject and he responded to someone's post lol....

Jeez and that's your military side talking? Over why someone is or isn't considered a VOL?

Get over yourself.... I was military as well and I don't even get this reference. The kid will be a VOL the day he signs his commitment letter.

His blood, sweat, and tears will be what either makes him a starter or not. (A.K.A Earning his stripe)

You join the military and you are considered in the military. Earning your stripe in the military is just that earning another rank or position. So....

Lol... By the way Football has nothing to do with Military.

Definitely like the black on orange there way better than the gay smokey gray's. I'm just a traditionalist through and through. Just don't see programs like Bama, Penn State, and the Southern Cal's of the world doing that stufff. Even though on a national level Tennessee isn't perceived to be that level of a blue blood program.

what’s gay about them? the tassles? or the rainbow color scheme?

Same. It’s not a crime to admit something is good, even if it comes from a less desirable person.

Butch was a great salesman (especially at first), an average coach, a terrible game day coach, a questionable leader, and did a lot of good stuff for the program outside of football. All of the above is true.

Butch Jones sucked at his job. Was a below average coach, terrible game day coach, terrible leader, and did do some good things academic wise for the program. He made Tennessee football a complete punching bag for 5 years. I'm not appreciative of anything he did here outside of the academic related issues he helped fix.

They're all expert talent evaluators if you haven't already figured that out. Every commit we get, we have all sorts of grown men breaking down tape of these kids for hours at a time. Especially McGill lol. They're all comparing said recruit to this former great player and that former great player and this cat reminds me so much of this guy, etc lol. Literally every commit Tennessee gets is going to be a big time player in this league. If anyone is hesitant and takes a wait and see approach, that's unacceptable.

He also had us top 10 in the country at one point, beat Florida for the first time in over a decade, and led us in the most fun 6 game stretch that I can remember in the last decade.

It’s okay to appreciate some of the things he did. I’ll always remember that Florida game.
