Top Tennessee targets Khris Bogle and Jalen 'Boobie' Curry arrived to the 5-star Challenge with Tennessee on their minds. Entering the dead period, Bogle said the Vols lead his recruitment and discussed nearly committing twice after both visits this year.
The 4-star outside linebacker also used the word 'we' when talking about Tennessee and its commitment Wednesday with quarterback Brian Maurer.
"I was just talking to Boobie. He was just saying, Oh we got to sit-down and talk about Tennessee. We were happy. We just got a quarterback, Bogle said.
The Vols still face stiff competition for the South Florida native, but his strong bond with Currie, Wanya Morris and others, as well has his relationship with staffers Charles Kelly and Chris Rumph could prove fruitful down the line.
As for Curry, he was FaceTime'ing with a Tennessee coach on Wednesday moments before an interview with VolQuest. He and Bogle were connected at the hip at the event.
Auburn is still a big factor here, but Tennessee isn't going away especially with another unofficial trip to Knoxville planned for this fall.
