I'm not sure I understand what you don't understand, and I'm not sure what one has to do with the other?

:dunno:

The ignore feature is improved in the new software, how it should have worked all along.

I don't understand why we can't have a "Thumb Down" button as a dislike. There have been many requests for it and a lot of discussion about it. I always assumed you did not provide it because of the programming difficulty. Apparently that is not the case if you can do all this for an ignore.

I don't understand why you don't provide the "Thumb Down" button.

Just guessing but I wouldn't do it. Some posters are just disliked and the button would be abused for the sole purpose of rubbing it in their face.

Adding to my previous post, love the 'like' option but not a fan of the like count. Anyone that has read here before and after its addition, knows several posters have changed their styles.
And we lose a lot of good pub and off topic posts just because people don't give out many likes in those areas, it's just general conversation. A lot of missed clicks because by nature, many people just have a level of vanity.

If you go to the off topic forums there is a great deal of coversation. Like whoring is a bit overblown.

I think that butch made his hires with the intention of getting an 8 million dollar buyout. It started in 2016 when he wanted out....he got no takers, so decided to get paid. In a rate instance of true self judgement, he realized that he was definitely not an SEC caliber coach and bolted mentally after the florida loss. It went downhill from there.

After the kiffin/dooley debaucheries, I wanted so badly to believe in anything that I was not willing to see it in real time. It’s taken a retrospectoscope to reveal the truth of last season to me. When the HC quits on the team, the players are lost. 17-21 year old guys frequently make poor decisions. But the HC deserting them is the main culprit.

I think that the limited transfers that have happened are due to the players getting actual coaching from actual SEC caliber coaches. The players see the difference and are working hard to become an actual SEC caliber football team. I hope that all of us give them the time to prove that they will be.

:hi:

I agree..but that was not my point. Last years team is the worst in UT history..Could they have been better?..Yes they definitely could, but for whatever reasons, no matter what they were..they didn't.

This years TEAM..although it will be pretty much the same players, but a much better TEAM.

That post was in the middle of an argument. I explained my thought on it several times.

I gave you a "like" for that well thought our response.

Taking Clemons' commitment today would be baffling. I get that he's ready to commit and I get that he's got the size and upside potential, but it would be surprising to give away this spot at this point in the cycle.

Why would you think a dislike would be any more difficult to program than a like?

Yeah seems like one out of nowhere if it were to happen

No it’s not a programmatic thing.

It’s because dislike buttons never work as intended in my opinion. Every site I’m on with dislikes, you end up getting people who abuse it. They go around disliking everything or targeting certain posters. People make a normal post and can’t figure out why they’re getting downvotes. I think dislikes are discouraging. I’d rather people up vote topics and posts they like.

Just my opinion.

I’ve seen people joke about it before, but I’ve never seen people clamoring for a dislike button.
