That Warriors team that the Cavs came back on didn't have KD. The Warriors at that time played hard and had a great system, but they did not have a player who could take over the game with just not his skill but with his physical gifts. Skill and physical gifts is what makes a special player. Also, LeBron plays in spurts now, he no longer can play a full game at an elite level. Check out his defensive stats. He has a mirage going on right now because he still is able to dominant offensively. Jordan always played tough defense, unlike LeBron.

Any time you start a point off with blaming millennials, especially when you don’t actually know the age of your posters, makes you look like the old man screaming at clouds.

Find me one person in here saying Lebron is better who isn’t a millennial. I’ll hang up and listen.

Lebron is elite but he's not MJ. And like Ziti and others have pointed out, it's much more than the stats too. For those of us who watched both careers its clear as day that Lebron isn't on the same level with mental toughness and other immeasurable intangibles. Michael Jordan is the GOAT. PERIOD. Lebron is on his way to 2nd place, that's a damn good place to be.

If you could somehow take MJ's mental makeup and put it in Lebron's body that would be something to see, I wouldn't miss a game.

Best way I have ever heard Jordan described was this... “elite once in a lifetime talent who was also an overachiever.”

Jordan played tough defense with the wiz?

I give you the mental toughness all day. Please elaborate on the immeasurable intangibles comment....

He got in peoples heads. He refused to lose. He wanted it more than ANYONE, ever. If you challenged him you were toast. He was the best trash talker, best at getting people off their game. He used the mental aspect of his game better than anyone else. Lebron is a physical specimen but he doesn't have that killer instinct that MJ had.

People mistake these debates as bashing Lebron or 'hating' on him. I love watching Lebron play. His physical abilities are unbelievable. He's clearly the best player of his generation. But he's no MJ.

And as much as it pains me to say this but it’s a good comparison: Peyton was a very good player who overachieved into being one of the greatest QB’s of all time.

Exactly, that's perfect.

Most guys with that ability don't have that elite drive and will to win at all costs. It's very rare. And it just so happens that the best basketball player to ever live had it.

Exactly. And I wanted so bad to see that killer instinct in Lebron. He’s always tried too hard to be a facilitator and not just grab the other team by the balls and throw them to the ground. I’ve seen flashes since he’s come back from the Heat, but nothing consistent for a prolonged period.

Oh please, your going to say he wasn't a great defensive player because of him coming back late in his career to play with Washington??? That is going to be your come back that he wasn't a great defensive player. He was twice the defensive player Lebron is. GBO!!!!!

First paragraph: see I think there lies a huge problem. That's how mj got going and people try to compare every other basketball player to that style. Not everyone gets going from that philosophy. Some bastball players are silent assassins, some keep to themselves. When these players try to emulate jordan, the response is aww psshhh jordan did it better. When a player has another approach, awww pshhh he isnt jordan, why cant he have "a killer instinct". People like to live on both sides of the fence. Essentially, there's more than one way of getting things done.

Bolded: I could say same about people who scoff at opinions of bron being better mj.

You're exactly right, there are plenty of ways to be a great basketball player. Lebron is GREAT. But he's still not as great as MJ. And that's okay.

Im not saying anything. I asked a simple question. Whenever someone challenges jordan mystic, there's always instant push back. And another thing, you seem to be a little into your feelings. Why is that?

So you asked a question to bait a response so you could passive aggressively accuse the responder of being "a little into your feelings"? That is called trolling and is a deflection technique to distract from that fact that you have no evidence to support yer argument.

Actually you are completely wrong. I didn't ask that poster the question. I asked volls all day the question. Wildorange decided to insert his/her feelings to a question that wasnt asked to them. :good!:
