Nice quote from Pruitt today

“When you have the Orange & White game, some guys perform better in those situations and we need to know who those guys are.”

Good to hear that as opposed to Butch’s “There is no such thing as a gamer” BS

Butch: Both the offense & defense competed like champions today. The execution of fundamental football wasn’t as precise as I’d like on the defensive side.

"A lot of individuals are still learning the fine details of what it takes to play winning football. There are other individuals on our football team that are doing things DAT way, 63 and snap and clear. They're champions of life and that's what we teach individuals here. We've never talked about winning championships other than the championship of life."

Random positive--- Ate lunch with a customer today in Jackson TN... our Waitress was Emmit Gooden's first cousin, who she said she considered herself more like his sister since the families lived together for many years... She said he is very excited to finally be playing for UT and is more focused and fired up than people think or will expect. He didn't like being out at Independence C.C. and told family many times he didn't play up to his potential because he got a little depressed/homesick with the situation he had put himself in. She said "I am telling you he is country strong and ready to contribute"....

Good Stuff!

I just don't see how Haslam can do anything to the ones already hired. His meddling has come in choosing who to hire. He got stiff armed this time.

At the end of the day if Pruitt wins games then he can't do anything to fulmer

It’s the bigger more overall problem. We will never build a winning culture in our athletics if we don’t change the way we operate.

Its a really sad legacy to leave as a former player under General Neyland and multi million dollar donor to UT that Jimmy Haslam will have. People will actually be happy when he is no longer around to mess wirh UT Athletics.

It's not big Jim. I guess you can argue that he should have control over his son, but my understanding is that this is mostly Jimmy.

They want control.

Bev Davenport got sideways with them over the outsourcing deal and then we had Schianogate where she axed the Haslam puppet. Her days are numbered.

Fulmer will be harder to remove but removing his power will be easy.

It's not just about those 2. It's bigger than that.
People are willingly blind to this. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen. I literally despise the Haslams, and I say despise just because I don't like using the word hate in regards to people.

Jim Haslam played for Neyland. Jimmy Haslam is his son. Three generations of Haslams and their spouses are UT legacies and donors. They're not going anywhere.
