So true! There is no motion or anything going on with offense. They stand in place and think they will get open like that. They have regressed a lot over the course of the year… Coaching.

Sounds like the ultimate game manager. A guy who can make a few plays but more importantly doesn't turn the ball over and get you beat. I think that'll be Pruitt's model. Dominant defense and running game, with a QB who manages the game and doesn't get you beat.

I laugh at the offense. I don't think they run plays. How she has a job I'll never know. I've seen middle schools run a more complex offense.

Is Chryst official? They've seemed confident he's coming, and I think Helton expects him to compete hard to be the starter. Helton had built a rapport with him from his recruitment at SC and said he was a great fit for his system. After Chryst visited, it seemed likely he was going to end up here.

Chryst will be your starter next year IMO. Definitely need the depth at that position anyway but I get the feeling this staff isn't too high on the current crop of quarterbacks that Jones and the former Utah State running backs coach left behind.

Some people got defensive about it in the Chryst thread, but the coaches aren't bringing Chryst in as depth. Helton said he expected Chryst to compete to start and the best QB would earn the job. He also said he liked Chryst's size and experience with a pro-style offense. This seems to offend some people who think the job is JG's to lose. Everything the coaches have said indicates the opposite-- it's anybody's job to win.

JG has the entire spring to take control. If He can't win the job with that head start that's on him

These Preds are something else, they just don’t quit. Another solid comeback. Also, GM Poile owns the record for most wins by a GM in the history of the NHL.

Exactly. I’m still thinking JG wins the job. People are waaaaay to judgemental of him. He flashed a lot of potential in an impotent offense on a team that quit. He seems to have the right mentality/attitude too. Chryst will be good depth though because this o-line may get JG killed.

Chryst at Stanford was a 54% passer this year with 123 passer rating.

JG: 62% with a 128 passer rating on a terrible O-Line.

Win win situation because our line is awful this year too. We need a good backup.

I was having lunch with Joe 24 hours ago. I was making fun of him for saying he ran "lights and sigh-REENS" to a call earlier in the night...

He leaves behind a wife and two small children. He was a family man first. A great husband and even better dad.

Just feel asleep at the wheel.

This sucks.

OB, prayers to all of you and especially his family. He’s from the town I work in, and a close personal friend of his was telling me about it. The kids being so little is the worst part.

Yep. She sits over there and hopes we can do something to score. She’s like a fan watching the game, instead of a coach coaching. Did you see her reaction when we turned the ball over on the inbound play with less than 30 secs to play? Fan reaction. The offense should always run through Mercedes. She can take over a game, yet Holly has no clue how to get the ball inside to her. If she is being double-teame, then if they would move, someone should be open. However, since we stand in place, one defender is able to guard 2 people at same time.

Chances are good that we know a lot of the same people then because my wife's from that area too.

His kids is the worst part of all of this.
