we have no OL...where is all this talent. We had a run defense equivelant to San Jose State last yr. Majority of the same kids are back. They arent as talented as you make them out to be. They cant block anyone.....ask UMASS.

You are kidding right? Nebraska maybe. But Minnestoa, 'Cuse, Colorado. Those programs haven't been relative for like 30 years. By my math we got another 15 to go before we reach those depths.

What hurts Pruitt is opposing coaches can tell recruits what are the odds he is going to last more than three or four years at Tennessee with that rabid fanbase and him having no prior experience.

I think it’s that simple.

I know objectively that we aren't at their level. We have tremendous advantages over all of them. But people outside this program look at us like they look at them: as once proud, but now dead, programs.

I agree, but people are looking at our worst class in a while and saying that other teams with similar classes are doing so much better. This hasn't been a good day, but seems like people are overreacting.

Nah, people mostly destory you for saying it and acting like you're happy about it. Or for saying it incessantly (territory that I'm getting dangerously close to).

Bottom line: Pruitt must succeed. Our program can't handle another failure.

truth is the truth....ppl got to face it. Thats on them. We are a joke, we signed a weak class and we have to be better. Nobody is happy about it.

New coaches with proven records of developing players. I know it can't all be fixed in a spring and fall camp, but I am confident we see a much improved team on the field next year. Though today was rough, all is not lost.

Maybe we should have let the Johnson kid the OU recommit visit last weekend. He was a cb/wr and we supposedly told him we were full..
Maybe we can still call him..

For me, it's less about the class and more just a realization of just how badly our brand is viewed now. After December's better-than-expected signing day, I thought maybe it was in better shape than I realized. Today disabused me of that notion, quite harshly.

Yes we suck bad, first 8 loss season ever and have hired **** coaches since fulmer. Hopefully Pruitt is a true coach.

Welp, Pruitt and the Goon Squad lived up to their name, we still look like a bunch of Goons... Truly can't believe we didn't pick up a single high profile kid with then energy and momentum this staff had a month ago...

What happened to Pruitt and Sherrer being from AL and GA and the relationships and recruiting prowess? We just got owned by other first year coaches, and were made a public mockery by a recruit.

The gap just widened in talent.

It will take us two seasons to even think about getting to the next level, which is only being able to beat the SC, KY, Mizz, and Vandy's... If we are lucky... They will eat our lunch again next year.

It will be interesting to see what Pruitt will sell to the '19 class to make them come...

I just don't see UT getting out of the hole Dooley and Butch put us in... We don't have the talent to compete, we can't get the talent to compete because we suck, so we will continue to suck, and then 3yrs from now we will have another coach who will attempt the same frivolous climb and will fail. Recycle, Repeat.

We are a basketball school who hopes and celebrates if we make a bowl game.
