Things I will be happy about now that the NCAA NSD has come and will soon be gone.
1) FF posters will leave - along with the many useless threads they create.
2) Trollers will be less interested in their craft with nothing much going on until SP.
3) Regulars will be less cranky with each other and post less angry comments.
4) The more reasonable fans will rediscover the art of learning to walk before they run. As Vol fans you support a program that went 4-8 with ZERO SEC wins last season. Just what did you expect to have happen with recruiting when two of three primary rivals played for the NC and the third hired a proven, winning HC from another SEC program that has won NC's as an OC at the school for whom he now works? Add in a NC winning HC from FSU going to aTm along with a strong recruiting HC returning to his FL recruiting grounds to take over in his place.
But most importantly,
5) I will now know the guys that want to play for the school I love. They are now VFL's and deserve my respect and support until proven otherwise.
6) I now know Fulmer is running things in the AD, so I know the football program will receive what it needs to do well. I know CJP and staff will get the most out the entire package because that is what CJP has done consistently throughout his career in his various roles. As a result I know future recruiting classes will likely be even better.
7) I watched Scott Frost take a bunch of no name players with the help of a no name coaching staff to an undefeated season including the sound defeat of an SEC program that had beaten both NC finalists in the regular season. So I know great development and coaching of players makes a big difference in the W/L column. I believe CJP will have that type of impact on UT. It will be tougher because the conference and schedule is tougher. But he is also working with a roster that is far more talented than UCF's. That tells me heart, focus, preparation, commitment and team work are the real difference makers.
