Reading through all the updates on the recruit profiles, 247 seems much more optimistic than VQ guys. Is this always the case?

I’ve had a VQ sub for 3+ years now. Hubbs has always been SUPER conservative. Very rarely does he go out on a limb. I think he’s rubbed off on Simonton because Jesse is now in the same mold as that. Price is the one who will tell it like he thinks. VQ tries to cut their teeth in being accurate and reliable over anything else.

I think it’s no secret they’ve struggled in finding their footing with this new staff. I’d say by the end of Spring they’ll have a better grasp on some things.

VQ has struggled this year while 247 has seemed more in tune. When CJP was hired, most felt it would help 247 because of their Bama relationships and Pruitt having his Bama ties. So take that for what it’s worth which Isn’t much.

It drives me crazy how someone can just say “damn it looks like we’re gonna miss out on ____ ”, or expressing general disappointment, they’re lambasted with “omg step off the ledge chicken little”, “legion of miserables can never be happy” blah blah.

I remember landing the 3* OL from Ohio that Urban wanted.

Not much else. (edit: Dobbs was a late addition as well)

There's just not a lot of time and there's so much ground to make up. Not to mention the early signing period worked against us a bit. Every school in the country had half their class signed and done. Everyone was able to focus full attention on the guys that were left.

This staff is going to slay it in 2019.

Quay and jj are a good day imo

Would love more. But 2 lbs of that caliber in the same class would be significant
