We're either second or third in the SEC historically. Of course Kentucky is at the top but then Tennessee and Alabama both have decent basketball tradition.

It's debatable after UK. Arkansas has a good history and a national title. Nonetheless, we have casual fans that dont understand our history.

Arky has a very good history but they did a lot of it before joining the conference. LSU is decent too.

UT's problem is we've never been to a final four and generally haven't done well at the tourney. However, if you look at our overall record it's damn solid. Bama and UT are nearly identical programs in basketball both in terms of record and in terms of having good periods and long droughts that make people forget.

Our basketball history is actually probably around 4th or 5th in the SEC. It's much better than how some of our fans treat it (not talking about you, just in general).

I think that we still have beaten Kentucky more than any other team.
