Football: Knowledge - the hardest shot ever | Football | The Guardian
Fastest recorded speed is 114 mph in a match
What is this in reference to Ron?
Ive lost my mind because I said Id rather get hit by neither a 95mph fastball nor a 110+mph soccer ball?
Two major problems with this.
1. A soccer ball gives a lot more than a baseball. At that speed it still hurts like he** but its quite different.
2. If were talking about the pros, the speed numbers are very misleading. Sure, maybe one guy was clocked kicking a ball at 110+, but from what Ive seen shot speeds are typically 60-75 mph, with the top speeds rarely approaching mid 90s. This compared to MLB where everyone is coming at you 95+ every time.
