Add in frost, schiano and whoever else they talked to

Coaches who almost signed with VOLS:

Schia-NO (Negative recruiting--@sshole)

Doorknob== Possibly worse than Butch.

Leach-- Great offense, coaching up-- defense and recruiting a question mark...

Pruitt-- I think with his staff, we will recruit better and be coached well on both sides of the ball with Pruitt.
May be a homerun.

Any bio on this guy?

Not a lot out there. This is from the bama 247 board

Niedermeyer first joined Alabama’s football program as a graduate assistant before being promoted to his current role. This followed stints as a graduate assistant at Arkansas Pine-Bluff, as a quality control coach at Miami and as a wide receivers coach at East Texas Baptist.

Couldn't find a wiki or much of a detailed bio on Bama's website for Brian Niedermeyer but according to his Linkedin (lol I know)...

He was a defensive grad assistant at Ark Pine Bluff, then Defensive quality control (Linebackers) for a year at Miami, then 3 years as WR coach/recruiting coord at East Texas Baptist Univ, and last year was Assistant Director of Personnel Operations at Alabama.

Haven't been paying any attention to recruit threads. How is it looking with Cade Mays? Is the door completely shut and bolted down now or is there a small crack in the door?

Brent was saying the other day that you can sign over 25. I think you can still back count is the way I understand it. You can't do some of the other stuff now. I could be wrong.

Bracing for the arguments and 8000+ posts on how many we can sign. Not blaming you, but might as well Let the Debate!!

To catch you up...you know those magic doors that disappear? That's Mays.

Thats complete horse crap and you know it. All you do is toot your own horn on here. Every post you've made on this particular page backs that up.

Dobbs4Hyperbole strikes again. I have engaged him too many times and I likely will again. Maybe Dobbs4Instigating would be a better name for him.

If CJP says Niedermeyer is ready, then he is ready in his mind. The proof of whether he is or not will be the end result on the field. Larry Scott had plenty of experience as a TE coach. Did our TE's even compete? Did we have any, I can't remember?

I trust it. Bama friend of mine said those who know the bama program know Nieder was a future star assistant coach. Great with the kids, great recruiter, high football IQ.

:)

Can someone confirm if I am correct on the status of our former commits?

Ingle - Git
Cross - Git
Chatman - Git
Gerald - Still considering us? Who are his finalist / timeline?
Horn - Still considering us, signing in Feb, Cocks biggest competition?
Mays - Being a douche and won't even meet with Fulmer. Sounds like a Dabo directive to me
Taylor - Hopefully recommitting today
Dean - Git because he knew Pruitt didn't like him at Bama?
Dixon - ?????

Who am I missing?

Thanks for the info.

As fans we need to get more accustomed to how it is done in big boy football again. It's been 10 years and many have forgotten or are too young to know. We have a real, big boy head football coach who is hiring guys that are as well to the best of his ability. In Niedermeyer's case, it appears he took a similar path that CJP took in working his way into a big time staff. It worked well for CJP, so it works well for me.
