Do you think with this early signing period, one of Coachs tactics may be to just try and get some guys to not sign early and give the next 6 weeks to consider? I cant imagine he will have enough time to seal the deal with a lot of recruits, so I guess what Im asking, is do you go in not to sell them, but say dont sign, give us time, then reset and reload after the new year.
I saw that two of the five first team OL in the Mountain West were from Colorado State. They also had a WR and their QB make first team and a RB make the second team. Friend did a pretty good job, not only as OL coach, but OC there.

These 4 guys are probably going to define what we add to/have in the class of 2018. The rest of the staff this year will probably be more for added firepower rather than increased targets. Helton doesnt have a USC target list that I could find and Friend & Fairs targets in the Mountain West are unlikely to make an SEC roster. Rocker also doesnt have a target list. Of the 4 listed target lists, there's some overlap so that could help. With such a short window this year we may score a few gems somehow someway sooner or later but we may have to wait until next year for a full Pruitt class. jmo, A'ight?
Butch always felt like the kind of HS coach whos just happy to have his kids play hard and compete, plays the rich kids just to avoid getting flak from parents, and cant underatand why people are upset when his team only makes the playoffs ever 3-4 years.I don't want to pile on Butch because if you look at my posts prior to the season I was trying my best to put lipstick on a pig and be optimistic about him and the revamped coaching staff... but I never ever could and still can't figure out how or why some recruits were so loyal to him and willing to decommit - giving up the chance to play for Tennessee - once he was fired.
He just always came accross as a goober to me. Never felt like a "real" football coach. Maybe he was different behind closed doors or whatever but at the podium and on the sidelines he always underwhelmed me. Definitely not an SEC guy.
Contrast to Pruitt and man...... like many have said, you watch his intro PC and you think that this is a guy that knows what he's doing. This is a guy who is going to do big things. I think I have the same underlying fear that many have - that he'll bolt to Alabama when Saban retires - but I'm hoping he's hear for the long term. I like his message and everything he's doing thus far with his staff and recruiting.
Damn I can not wait to see our Tennessee Vols taken seriously again.

Pruitt feels like the kind of HS coach who wants to kick every teams d**k in (and will more often than not), will sit the rich boosters kid a** on the bench if he messes up without thinking, and always manages to have a few kids on his roster who grew up a county or two over but moved to his zoning district just in time for 9th grade.
Thanks op. That saved me a lot of time!!!!Jeremy Pruitt Current Targets

The Vols were last in the league in scoring and yards, and only five teams in the FBS averaged fewer yards per game than the Vols (291.1) this season. Twenty teams averaged more than that in passing yards alone.
