They could seriously make a movie about this coaching search. We were literally moments away from disaster with Schiano. Volnation saved the football program.
Pruitt is assembling a big boy staff, things about to change.

So all in all, there was a mystery candidate and it was Mike Norvell. Schiano was thisclose to hopping on a plane.


I'll be rooting for Shoop to do well in Starkville, if hired. I think he will.

I thought the whole time that Currie was more interested in acting like James bond and keeping the search under wraps than he was hiring the right guy.

That's my impression too, like a little kid playing cloak & dagger or something. I remember when someone released an email exchange where Currie talked about sending a flight out just to throw the media off about something, and I thought that is just about the stupidest waste of money I've ever heard of. I always had concerns that he'd just be Haslam's yes man, but I seriously began to doubt his competence when that came out.

That clown was told from the beginning who it was, so he just had his fun. Little did he know, Fulmer was taking the recruiting test and Rocky theme music was warming up

I live on the West coast (and it’s late here) but over the past few days I was up reading Volnation about this time of night and this site was just as active as it is during midday. Glad to see the posters can finally get some rest!

Anybody got a picture of his dad at his press conference. I’ve seen the chat but not a picture.

That family is die hard Sand Mountain bubbagump..I can't fault them for that, but it is weird seeing Jeremy as HC at Tennessee. Coach Pruitt is an old school bubbagumper, I'd say he hates Phil with the heat of a thousand suns. The old gumps still hate Phil for his part in them almost get DPd..lol. I thought it was hilarious, but make no mistake, if CJP has the success we all want him to have, It will be hard for him to resist if Bama calls him home. We better hope he falls in love with Tennessee.

I’ll worry about that bridge when we get to it. Actually I won’t because if we are that good that Bama wants our coach over Dabo or the like when Saban retires then so be it. We will be able to get whoever we want at that point and most likely be loaded with talent.

Like one of those old retired modestly wealthy dudes that Jordan Balfour ripped off..lol. 😁 Coach Pruitt would probably only act that way about two schools in the country. He prolly is torn between stabbing Phil in the eye, and clapping him on the back...It looked like stabbing was more on his mind to me. Mama Pruitt was just as bad, she looked like she was about to puke. 😁

CJP seems like he wants to make his own way though. I hooe so, we need stability. We have had enough chaos the last decade to last me for the rest of my life.

I'm a fellow night lurker. More about me just cause I'm bored, I work at clinical lab in south Nashville on third shift. Reason being is that doctors send us their samples during the day and it falls on us to set up the tests that night due to stability reasons. Tonight I have to touch poop. Quite glamorous.

Anyway I'm pretty jazzed about this hire and the staff is looking amazing 1 day in. Would be amazing to finish top 10 in recruiting.
