People who know little about football or how any of this works want Gruden

Those who do know the most want Morris (right now unless by some miracle Chris Peterson appears)

Everyone else is in the middle IMO.

Herbie on The Dan Patrick Show

When discussing the Tennessee job, said " It was a rough week for the vols last week, planes here and there and rejections and offers flying daily, have you noticed it has been quiet since Phil took over? From what I hear he is doing a great job and watch out for some names not on being talked about, Phil is providing a stability that is appealing to lots of coaches, lots of coaches want to coach for old coaches like him" , Dan then tried to move on and ask about Baker Mayfield and Herby went back to TN and said one more thing...."TN is a great job, that Power T travels anywhere it wants to, it carries weight in TX and Cali, and for those saying it is not a top 10 job, neither was Bama prior to Saban, but if you get that thing rolling again watch out, nad I believe the Fulmer is the man to make this hire and get it rolling again, itll be interesting to have this discussion in 2-4 years. Everyone knows it is a cycle and the VOLS are due."

I don't hate Leach. Guess you can't read either and aren't above making up your own facts about people's opinions.

I apologize then, I honestly though you were with Zit and Bru on the anti Leach bus. But what you said about 88 was not cool either.

Obviously there was something with Petersen before with LWS comments. Hopefully he sees a more stable administration now. The fact that he agreed to an interview is telling. Throw the money at him and make him say no. He’s one to break the bank for.

When did lws say he agreed to an interview?

I will not buy in--but there were rumors about Petersen not getting along with his AD. I'm sure you can build a case for any coach wanting to leave...but after this coaching search you question everything. It ain't legit til he's standing at the lecture with a Power T pin on his suit!

of anyone we could send to convince Petersen, it'd be Phil

Pruitt would bring an insane staff with him IMO. Not sure how well he'd be received here, but the ceiling is high with him if he delivers on a staff.

Would love Pruitt, but seems a hard sale to people here.

Not getting my hopes up on Petersen.
Not getting my hopes up on Petersen.
Not getting my hopes up on Petersen.
Not getting my hopes up on Petersen.
Not getting my hopes up on Petersen.

Not getting my hopes up on Petersen...

Ah hell... give me Petersen!!

Time for the daily kick in the balls!

Yeah, I misinterpreted him. It's all good. I actually would love a Leach hire, but just don't think he's the guy to bring us back.

Rally the boosters and double Petersen's salary and give him full control over the program. There would be essentially no risk in either of those plays.

A) He wins...a lot.

B) He's a Boy Scout. He would run the program cleanly, and oh yeah, he wins...a lot.

This is how you discipline a player. This man commands respect without getting all red-faced and acting like Sergeant Carter.

Anyone hear VQ reporter on 104.5 a little earlier? I don’t know who it was. Got in truck after it had started and heard them commending VQ for their reporting. Anyway he said Fulmer wants Alpha male coach in locker room and not sure Morris fits that criteria. Said Venebles did though.

If you think Phil is giving up control to the program he just spent 9 years trying to obtain I've got some beachfront property in Idaho to sell you.
