Where is LWS. He was originally 60% Petersen before. If Phil can get in a room with Petersen, I give him a shot to sell this program better than anyone else.

He had surgery today. He hasn’t commented in a week. Said he had to prep for surgery. Nothing too major he also said.

of anyone we could send to convince Petersen, it'd be Phil

Pruitt would bring an insane staff with him IMO. Not sure how well he'd be received here, but the ceiling is high with him if he delivers on a staff.

If anyone can convince a coach to come here it will be Phil. He's the closer. He just needs to figure out who he is gonna roll with

Then what you said is nothing but a garbage opinion about 8188 based on the fact you hate Leach. I like Leach, but he is not the only coach out there I would accept, and I'm pretty sure 8188 feels the same way.

I don't hate Leach. Guess you can't read either and aren't above making up your own facts about people's opinions.

Someone predicted that Alvin Kamara would do well in the NFL and gloats as if he really went out on a limb with his prediction? Lol.

I didn't just say he would do well. I said he would be a Hall of Famer. I said his closest comparison was Marshall Faulk. I also said he would have a season where he gets 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving.

That isn't just predicting he would do well. I specifically predicted all-time greatness for Alvin. And I'm 100% sure I'm the only person who predicted this level of greatness.

I’m starting to think Morris is our best choice right now. I love Leach, and I hate that the guy is one of the only coaches with serious success that hasn’t gotten his shot yet. What’s even worse is he’s at a worse job because of some silly story from his days at Tech (Many people have taken Leach’s side including players). But the fact that he hardly runs the ball just kinda scares me, also already 56. I feel like Miles exit from LSU was similar to Fulmer’s and Spurrier’s. The game passed them by and they weren’t the best candidate the team could have be the coach. Now the hires made after those guys is a whole different story.. Steele and Tee just aren’t qualified at all. Point blank. If you tell yourself otherwise, I kinda feel like you’re trying to convince yourself that. Steele has been released from two major programs, his tenure at Clemson was ugly. Tee doesn’t even have that much control of USC’s offense, I just feel like he’s be a recruiter here. Morris has had success at a big school, and was the spark Clemson needed to get to the next level. It was obvious. There’s no arguing that he was a “system” guy like people say about people under the Saban coaching tree. Clemson just wasn’t a great program until Morris got there. I really hope we don’t screw this up. I think UT is a better job than Arkansas despite what disaster might have occurred here. They just need to name him #1 and show him that they want him.

Obviously there was something with Petersen before with LWS comments. Hopefully he sees a more stable administration now. The fact that he agreed to an interview is telling. Throw the money at him and make him say no. He’s one to break the bank for.

Just cant see pereson wanting the job at this point. If we were a good team and oranization maybe.

Was Washington that much better than we are when he got there? Honest question. Didn't he take over for Sark? I don't think he ever won more than 7 or 8 games there.

Fulmer is interviewing Petersen because he actually has a chance to interview him. Other top coaches are turning the job down without even meeting with Fulmer (or Currie). Petersen might be one of the only guys to say "yeah, I might be interested." You don't just stop interviewing "lesser" candidates because a top guy agreed to an interview.

Man I hope you are right. It just seems like clickbait to me. Nobody else is really reporting anything about Petersen.

If Petersen gets swept in at the 11th hour....man oh man.

Not happening but if VolNation boycotts a Schiano hire and we hire Chris ****ing Petersen we deserve a bust in the Hall of Fame

Did anybody ever stop to think Fulmer is doing his due dilligence in interviewing all of these coaches to make sure it dont look like he had been doing his own search behind the scenes before Currie got relieved of duties?

Phil probably already had an idea of who he would go after. It would definately look like he had been trying to out Currie if he hired a coach soon after Currie was let go. Just something else to think about.

Morris just needs athletes. He could be a great hire. His record scares people off, but once you do a little research its hard not to like him.
