It didn't say he was going to choose them. It said he would use his connections to try and help get them. Was there more to that article that I didn't see, or are people already trying to fill in blanks that aren't there?
Being fired on a public stage and having a year to ponder on it typically provides a new vision I would assume.
Second chances are typically met with a renewed drive and better understanding on what caused previous failures.
It's fine. It might work out well. Maybe a fresh start would do him well. I'll support it if he's the guy. Especially if Tee is on staff. But LSU fans sounded a whole lot like we did his last couple years. That's all I'm saying.
He may be perfect to bridge us to the Tee era tho. Hopefully that's really the plan if he's hired. If we hire Cam Cameron to run the offense I'm gonna be mad.
Best to let the Head Coach hire who he likes...I thought that is why we blamed the AD's all the time...we always complained the coaches failed because they were not given enough money to get their own man...its bad ju ju to start with....
If we were going down that road I would rather hire Fulmer. I don't want to take that chance with our program after 10 years of the worst Tennessee football I've ever seen in my life. Yea he might have a new vision and double his efforts or he might be like Butch and say "I know this will work." Not worth the risk in my opinion.
He's one of the new ignore postersThat's what I'm talking about though. He didn't say he was choosing. Unless I misread, or there is more that I didn't see. He said he would use his connections to help get assistants. Maybe I'm just a moron, but I took it for what it read as to me. Help get the assistants that the HC wants.
Like I said earlier...Time will tell my friend. Time will tell.
Anybody remember why Les Miles was let go? He was to stubborn to evolve his offense. Sound familiar?
So basically Fulmer is planning on doing head coach duties such as picking assistants and such. Just great. Guess we can forget about the candidate pool widening.
He wouldn't have to worry about offense because Tee would be handling that. Miles is a great coach good lord people- he's a champion and a great recruiter. Put tons of guys into the NFL. Players loved him- sounds worlds better than anything we've had the last few years. Bring Tee and Steele as coordinators as well as a rock star pool of assistants would be wonderful!
